The ideal candidate shall have a minimum of 10 year experience in Project Logistics and directly overseeing the operational and technical aspects of safe transport conditions.  The candidate shall be available to travel at a minimum of 70%, present to witness safe load-out conditions.  The travel locations will involve Project fabrication locations in and around the Santiago region as well as Chilean port facilities. 

The candidate shall be able to posses and demonstrate the following skills:

  • Project Coordinator Leadership:

Have the ability to provide instruction, guidance to direct reports or logistic service providers (LSP) in regards to safe cargo loading, stowage and securing conditions.

  • Project Operations Planning & Execution: 

Have general skills, experience and understanding of the different type of general and special transport equipment requirements for the transport of mining equipment.

    • Demonstrate skills, deep knowledge and experience in:
      • developing transport planning, scheduling
      • overdimensional transport permits
      • police escort planning, legal requirements and general process requirements
      • overdimensional load stowing, securing and general safe transport conditions.
      • ability to review transport equipment conditions with the objective to identify adequate/faulty conditions
  • Administrative/Reporting
    • The candidate will be able to manage reporting requirements to communicate daily activity in an electronic format as set out by the work requirements.
    • The candidate will have current computing skills, i.e. MS Word, Excel, Window to be effective with mobile and office reporting
  • Education
    • Ideal candidate will have completed or be in the process to complete studies in Logistics related studies.
  • Language
    • Basic or greater fluency in English
