The project scope includes planning, design, integration and delivery of major airfield infrastructure, buildings, systems and associated periphery infrastructure.

Job Summary:

The Delivery Manager will be responsible for leading the successful execution of a major airport construction project in the London area. This role requires a strong background in delivering complex construction projects within highly regulated and operationally sensitive environments. The successful candidate will ensure that all works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining compliance with airport operations and stakeholder requirements. Your leadership will ensure project operations are compliant, safe, timely, within scope and budget, and clients are satisfied.  This position demands exceptional leadership, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to navigate complex logistics and operational challenges in a live airport environment.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing end-to-end delivery of construction packages, ensuring alignment with project objectives and contractual obligations.
  • Managing interfaces between multiple disciplines, contractors, and airport authorities to minimise disruption and maintain operational continuity.
  • Driving programme performance, monitoring progress, and implementing corrective actions to achieve schedule and cost targets.
  • Championing safety, quality, and risk management, ensuring adherence to regulatory and client standards.
  • Leading stakeholder engagement and fostering collaborative relationships across project teams and external partners.
  • Maintains client relationship and is the primary contact for client’s communication with the project team
  • Coordinates all project contractual activities. and participates in the development of contract, subcontract, or vendor scopes of work, budgets, contract formation, and negotiations
  • Ensures compliance with project field procedures and objectives within corporate policies and procedures
  • Plans and establishes procedures to ensure construction operations meet engineering designs and specifications
  • Demonstrated experience in managing Health, safety, environment, quality, schedule and cost performance
  • Engaging discipline leads for subject matter expertise

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and quantitative relevant experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrated capability in Construction delivery and logistics of complex infrastructure works.
  • Experience of stakeholder management on major projects and maintain clear communication with them.
  • Able to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of Safety, Health and Welfare at work Regulations
  • Proven ability to understand and contribute to the development of project implementation and associated commercial strategies for large-scale projects.
  • Ability to effectively lead teams
