Job Summary:

In this role, you will participate in the design, development, modification, and evaluation of civil/structural components and processes. You will assist with preparation of construction drawings, project schedules, models, calculations, material requisitions, studies, reports, presentations, and proposals. Your assistance will contribute to civil/structural designs that meet project requirements. 

Major Responsibilities:

• Assists in the design, development, modification and evaluation of components and processes  
• Compiles, adjusts, and correlates data that will develop professional work knowledge and abilities through the application of standard Civil/Structural engineering techniques, procedures and criteria utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs)​ and Design Control Check List (DCCL) and Design Review Notices (DRNs)​ 
• Provides direct support to other engineering disciplines for process/chemical related matters​ 
• Researches, designs, develops, and evaluates components, products, and systems by using applied process/chemical engineering principles​ 
• Coordinates development and presentation of material when requested 
• Prepares or participates in preparation of construction drawings, project schedules, graphic presentations, civil drawings, steel and concrete calculations, and material requisitions 
• Checks manufacturers’ drawings and data for compliance with specification and design drawings 
• Designs or participates in design for minor structures and portions of buildings 
• Provides direct support to other engineering disciplines for Civil/Structural related matters​ 
• Assists in constructability reviews 

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Engineering and less than 1 year of experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Entry-level position within field​
• Learning to use professional concepts​
• Applies company policies & procedures to resolve routine issues
