Project Overview:

The Infrastructure Global Business Unit (GBU) is executing site civil and marine scopes of work associated with our scopes of work on the Energy LNG projects. Louisiana LNG is an approximately 27.6 mtpa liquefaction export facility. The first phase will include two LNG plants with an export capacity of up to 11 million tons per annum (mtpa). The work location is Lake Charles, LA.

Job Summary:

In this role you will provide support to the Superintendents and/or supervise subcontractors and craft professionals on the Project. You shall provide expertise with work planning and packaging, material management, field material orders and validation, support on quantity data collection, timekeeping, safety and quality control and subcontract coordination. Your oversight will ensure field activities operate safely, are complete, meet project schedule requirements, and craft professionals have the tools to be productive, comply with project policies, procedures and job site rules, and perform within specifications schedules and budgets. #LI-KL1

Major Responsibilities:

Work Planning & Packaging 

  • Coordinates the preparation of construction drawings, sketches, projections and schedules for workforce, material, and equipment requirements.
  • Contributes in planning construction methods and procedures.  

Material Management 

  • Initiates requisitions for field purchases.
  • Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment. 

Quantities 

  • Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required.  

Safety / Quality Control 

  • Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely. 

Technical  

  • Proactively considers continuous learning or show interest to pursue appropriate learning activities.
  • Supports construction engineers, discipline superintendents, foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree with 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Coordinate Material Delivery and Supply Chain Operations: Manage and oversee the procurement, logistics, and on-time delivery of construction materials and equipment for major marine works, including the Marine Offloading Facility (MOF) and LNG loading berths. Ensure all items are compliant with project specifications and construction timelines.
  • Support Field Engineering and Construction Teams: Work collaboratively with field engineers, site superintendents, and technical staff to resolve procurement-related issues, and close out pending material and equipment action items across project phases.
  • Interface and Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a liaison between construction teams, subcontractors, procurement, and support departments to track and manage interface requirements. Coordinate construction activities that involve multiple work fronts and ensure seamless communication across departments and disciplines.
  • Monitor and Coordinate Marine and Heavy Equipment: Supervise the status, utilization, and readiness of critical marine assets and heavy equipment such as cranes, barges, tugs, and earthmoving machinery. Coordinate closely with the earthworks and marine operations teams to optimize equipment deployment and efficiency.
  • Data Collection and Project Controls Analysis: Collect and interpret field data related to material usage, equipment utilization, and construction progress. Provide analytical support to project controls teams for quantity claims, productivity metrics, and cost reporting.
  • Ensure Quality and Compliance Standards: Assist in monitoring construction activities for adherence to safety, quality requirments, and regulatory compliance standards. Support documentation efforts related to inspections, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and quality control procedures.
  • Schedule and Progress Tracking Support: Contribute to short-term and long-term construction planning by aligning material delivery, equipment availability, and subcontractor activities with project schedules. Support weekly and monthly reporting requirements by providing field updates and progress insights.
