Project Overview:

Louisiana LNG is located approximately 11 miles southwest of Lake Charles, Louisiana. The project includes a mid-scale, mixed-refrigerant Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on the west side of the Calcasieu River. There are five identical process plants. Each process plant consists of one gas pre-treatment unit, one condensate stabilization unit, and four Chart heavy hydrocarbon (HHC) removal and liquefaction groups. The facility will include associated utilities, refrigerant storage, three 235,000m3 full-containment LNG storage tanks, and three marine berths.

 

Job Summary:

In this role, you will assist with craft employee recruitment, onboarding, and labor compliance for project staffing. This position assists with industrial relations tasks, including orientation support, credential verification, and labor audits, while also performing workforce data analysis and administrative functions. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Reporting to the Project Workforce Services (IR) Manager, this position contributes to a smooth and compliant hiring process, accurate workforce reporting, and effective project execution. #LI-TH1

 

Major Responsibilities:

Industrial & Labor Relations Support

  • Gain a working knowledge of labor laws, EEO/affirmative action regulations, and relevant policies.
  • Assist in developing and delivering orientation and training programs for craft employees and supervisors.
  • Maintain accurate meeting minutes for Industrial Relations (IR) meetings.
  • Participate in subcontractor labor compliance audits and credential authenticity checks.
  • Enter data related to union dues and affiliations.
  • Support craft recruitment efforts and prepare documentation for client and government compliance.
  • Coordinate pre-employment processes including I-9 completion, background checks, and employment verifications.
  • Track and verify onboarding package completion and accreditation data.
  • Generate reports for tracking document expiration and compliance timelines.

Workforce Services & Data Analysis

  • Report directly to the Project Workforce Services (IR) Manager.
  • Assist in compiling and analyzing workforce data and trends to support project needs.
  • Prepare weekly and ad hoc reports using large data sets, primarily in Excel.
  • Help maintain data integrity and support policy compliance audits.
  • Participate in special workforce initiatives and craft engagement activities.
  • Support local recruiting events as needed.

Administrative & Office Support

  • Maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive project and employee documentation.
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, copying, and faxing.
  • Handle routine correspondence and support internal communications.
  • Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and assist with scheduling.
  • Coordinate meetings, including room setup and catering services.
  • Order and manage department supplies and distribute internal communications.
  • Assist with the distribution of documents to office and field teams.
  • Stay updated on departmental systems and contribute to process improvements.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain dependable attendance in line with project rules.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • 1–2 years of related experience in workforce services, HR, or administrative support.

 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in data management.
  • Experience working with craft professionals is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
  • Willingness to support field events and occasional off-site recruitment efforts.

Additional Information: Work requires the physical ability to conduct field inspections including but not limited to: extensive walking in and around a construction site often in high heat and high humidity conditions, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces, and working in small or confined spaces. Some lifting may be required. Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress). Must be able to use appropriate standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. harness, life vest, lift buckets, etc.).
