Project Overview:

Louisiana LNG is located approximately 11 miles southwest of Lake Charles, Louisiana. The project includes a mid-scale, mixed-refrigerant Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on the west side of the Calcasieu River. There are five identical process plants. Each process plant consists of one gas pre-treatment unit, one condensate stabilization unit, and four Chart heavy hydrocarbon (HHC) removal and liquefaction groups. The facility will include associated utilities, refrigerant storage, three 235,000m3 full-containment LNG storage tanks, and three marine berths.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will lead a team to provide rigging/heavy haul engineering support to a large project. You will review and approve transport studies, determine equipment requirements, develop strategies for project management, assign work tasks, and monitor progress. Your team will ensure the project has the rigging resources available with the proper qualifications to support the planned work scopes. #LI-TH1

Major Responsibilities:

• Compiling 30-60-90-day look-aheads for crane and rigging activities to drive proactive planning.
• Ensuring alignment to construction schedules, methods, and confirming that materials, equipment, and resources are ready.
• Reviewing critical lift plans to identify rigging needs and ensure rigging gear is ordered, on-site, and ready for use.
• Coordinating with area managers to confirm foundations, shim packs, anchor bolts, and survey teams are in place for equipment setting.
• Verifying engineered earthworks for crane pads are completed according to spec and ready for use.
• Compiling and distributing daily crane scheduling updates to ensure the management team stays informed.
• Tracking logistics and construction progress by maintaining accurate spreadsheets for dates and milestones.
• Developing and maintaining equipment staging plans based on both marine and over-the-road delivery schedules to ensure seamless offloading and movement to final locations.
• Identifying SPMT sets vs. crane sets, mapping transport paths, recognizing clashes in travel routes, and mitigating them through coordination and rerouting efforts.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8 -10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Experience on an LNG construction site especially along the U.S. Gulf Coast.
• Heavy industrial direct hire construction experience commensurate with the type of work to be undertaken.
• Experience in oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing or power generating station construction is preferred.
• Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.
• Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving ability.
• Certified Crane Operator, experienced as A/D director for all types of mobile cranes Ability to read and interpret crane manufactures operators manual and load charts Experienced in safe use and inspection of rigging hardware
• Ability to develop 3 week look ahead schedule in regards to crane operations 
• Monitor and track utilization of all site cranes
  
  Additional Information: Work requires the physical ability to conduct field inspections including but not limited to: extensive walking in and around a construction site often in high heat and high humidity conditions, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces, and working in small or confined spaces. Some lifting may be required. Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress). Must be able to use appropriate standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. harness, life vest, lift buckets, etc.).
