Project Overview:
Pluto Train 2 is the expansion of a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha in Western Australia run by Woodside Energy.
Woodside Energy is Australia's leading natural gas producer, and Bechtel is excited to be working with this key customer to help meet the increasing global demand for LNG as a transitional energy source.
Job Summary:
Bechtel is seeking a Recruitment and Mobilisation Coordinator to join the Pluto Train 2 Project team to support Workforce Services.
The Workforce Services function is comprised of several functions including, Employee and Industrial Relations, professional craft Recruitment, Transport, Camp Management, Site Access Control (Security) and professional craft Training. We seek to optimise our professional craft performance whilst minimising industrial risk.
The Recruitment and Mobilisation Coordinator will be based in Karratha WA. The successful candidate for this position will take responsibility for the effective mobilization and demobilization of direct hire craft workforce to support the project schedule of work.
In this role, you will support project recruiting, screening, and processing efforts for a manual craft professional workforce. You will assist with document preparation, employment verifications, background submittals, pre-employment processing, and updating employee data in the HRIS system. Your efforts and attention to detail will contribute to ensuring a smooth and compliant hiring process.
Major Responsibilities:
- Coordinates recruiting, screening and in processing of craft professional employees and participates in delivery of craft new hire orientation.
- Possesses proficiency in the requisition tracking programs and employee data programs.
- Other responsibilities as designated.
Experience Requirements:
- 2-5 years of relevant experience
- Experience in job portals and development of job adverts
- Source, screen, and shortlist suitable candidates (Blue Collar) for project work
- Reviewing and verifying candidates’ qualifications and licences
- Conducting reference checks
- Generating pre- employment medical requests
- Updating and maintaining internal applicant tracking system
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Fast paced, dynamic work environment- ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and targets
- Well-developed communication both written and verbal
- Ability to handle high volumes of candidates
- Must be able to work autonomously as well as in a team
- Solutions driven, shows initiative and motivated to deliver
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and SAP
Additional Information:
This position has responsibilities that include exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions, which may include: extensive walking in and around an active construction and/or operations site, climbing ladders, working at heights from work platforms including scaffolding, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), use of personal fall arrest equipment, walking and working on uneven surfaces, working in constricted and/or confined spaces, variable work shifts (e.g., day, night, weekends, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, etc.), and work in inclement weather. Some lifting may be required. Candidate must be able to use standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. respirator, harness, life vest, hearing protection, etc.).
The Pluto Train 2 Project is a Major Hazard Facility meaning this is a non-smoking site and no tobacco products – i.e. cigarettes, vapes, lighters, tobacco - are permitted to be brought to the site
This position is available to both local and non-local personnel. For non-locals (FIFO/DIDO), the working roster is 3/1.
