A new opportunity exists for an experienced field engineer to become Lead Turnover Coordinator and join Bechtel’s Energy team on the Pluto Train 2 project, based in Karratha, Western Australia.  This is a FIFO role working 3:1 roster.

 

About the Project:

Pluto Train 2 is the expansion of a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha in Western Australia run by Woodside Energy.

About the Role:

As part of the System Turnover team, you shall interface with team members across the construction site in both Construction and Pre-Commissioning teams to expedite and track work completion by startup system to compile system turnover dossiers and reports at each phase of the project.

As a Lead Turnover Coordinator, you will be responsible for supervising team members within their work area, including daily tasking, professional development, and scheduling.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and maintain System Completions and Turnover related plans, procedures and field instructions, incorporating contractual and jobsite deliverables and handover of supporting documentation.
  • Champion and implement the Project Turnover process in accordance with Bechtel Standard Work Processes and Procedures (SWPPs), Project Procedures and ITPs.
  • Manage field generated inspection records in completions management software for tracking and reporting.
  • Utilize multiple databases and BSAPs for reviewing and checking dossiers including TEAMWorks, Setroute, Infoworks, Unifier, Aconex, and Smart Completions (Completions Database).
  • Communicate effectively with other project team members, the client, and field personnel to ensure quality, schedule and budget are maintained.
  • Perform other duties as required.

 

What You Bring:

  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline but may be waived if equivalent industry experience can be demonstrated.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience, with at least 5 years in a Completions and Turnover supervisory role.
  • Direct Hire Experience, preferably in a lump-sum environment.
  • Experience using database software.
  • Experience in Construction, Field Engineering or Pre-commissioning preferred.
  • Previous supervision experience preferred.

Additional Information:

This position has responsibilities that include exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions, which may include: extensive walking in and around an active construction and/or operations site, climbing ladders, working at heights from work platforms including scaffolding, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), use of personal fall arrest equipment, walking and working on uneven surfaces, working in constricted and/or confined spaces, variable work shifts (e.g., day, night, weekends, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, etc.), and work in inclement weather. Some lifting may be required. Candidate must be able to use standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. respirator, harness, life vest, hearing protection, etc.).

The Pluto Train 2 Project is a Major Hazard Facility meaning this is a non-smoking site and no tobacco products – i.e. cigarettes, vapes, lighters, tobacco - are permitted to be brought to the site.

This position is available to both local and non-local personnel. For non-locals (FIFO/DIDO), the working roster is 3/1.
