Project Overview:
Pluto Train 2 is the expansion of a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha in Western Australia run by Woodside Energy.
Woodside Energy is Australia's leading natural gas producer, and Bechtel is excited to be working with this key customer to help meet the increasing global demand for LNG as a transitional energy source.
Job Summary:
SETROUTE® is an Electrical Database for electrical raceway and cable management used throughout the life of a facility from design, procurement of bulk materials, and component installation for both design and field control of electrical cables, raceways, equipment, terminations, jumpers and cable routes.
The SETROUTE® Administrator utilizes SETROUTE®, TEAMWorks, and Smart Completions during the construction phase of a project. The SETROUTE® Administrator reports to the Lead Discipline Field Engineer (Electrical/Instrumentation).
Major Responsibilities:
- Checks and verifies with the engineering SETROUTE® super user the SETROUTE®, TEAMWorks & Smart Completions configuration.
- Reviews and evaluates engineering data transferred to construction to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Devise and communicate to supervisory personnel corrective actions if data inconsistencies are found.
- Has a good understanding of electrical materials and materials management.
- Supports the cable reel administration process, cable cuts and cable pulls.
- Has a good understanding of quantity reporting processes and produces quantity reports.
- Other responsibilities as designated.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Work experience in information systems or relevant equivalent experience in information systems disciplines, and/or
- Actual work experience providing exposure and on-the-job training in a technical or administrative position supporting construction engineers or superintendents, and/or Degree in technical related field.
- Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications in accordance with current Bechtel Standard Application Program (BSAP) standards.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Construction of LNG project or similar industry experience of five or more years is preferred.
- Knowledge of construction installation work packaging, quantity reporting, start-up systemization and handover, control of punch items and material withdrawal is preferable.
- An understanding of electrical engineering, electrical materials, electrical codes and electrical industry standards.
- Microsoft Office Suite intermediate skills with emphasis in Microsoft Access and Excel.
- An understanding of the 3D model review tools to be able to verify Design Engineering information.
- An understanding of purchasing to be able to check material availability when working with Construction Work Packages.
Additional Information:
This position has responsibilities that include exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions, which may include: extensive walking in and around an active construction and/or operations site, climbing ladders, working at heights from work platforms including scaffolding, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), use of personal fall arrest equipment, walking and working on uneven surfaces, working in constricted and/or confined spaces, variable work shifts (e.g., day, night, weekends, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, etc.), and work in inclement weather. Some lifting may be required. Candidate must be able to use standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. respirator, harness, life vest, hearing protection, etc.).
The Pluto Train 2 Project is a Major Hazard Facility meaning this is a non-smoking site and no tobacco products – i.e. cigarettes, vapes, lighters, tobacco - are permitted to be brought to the site.
This position is available to both local and non-local personnel. For non-locals (FIFO/DIDO), the working roster is 3/1.
