Project Overview:

Pluto Train 2 is the expansion of a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha in Western Australia run by Woodside Energy. Woodside Energy is Australia's leading natural gas producer, and Bechtel is excited to be working with this key customer to help meet the increasing global demand for LNG as a transitional energy source.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will ensure that all pre planning and documentation is in place to support the EEHA and QA Teams in completing their work scopes. This will include but not be limited to look ahead planning for documentation to support system turnovers, pre inspection of work areas to ensure enabling works have all been completed prior to EEHA and QA teams inspecting, preparing and managing document trackers. You will provide technical support to the EEHA and QA teams.  You will define and implement system tools and procedures, develop metrics and goals, facilitate causal analysis teams, and provide oversight of design validation and final inspection activities. You will ensure quality in high impact activities that are key to project success. 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Look ahead planning for ITR and I99 (EEHA) completion to support System Turnovers
  • Prepare and administer look ahead tracking sheets
  • Undertake advance walkdowns on systems to ensure readiness for EEHA and QA Inspectors
  • Provide Technical Support to EEHA and QA teams
  • Participate in system walkdowns
  • Applies knowledge of quality engineering methodologies for input to design reviews, analyses, quality program plans, and other documentation 
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of corrective actions and process improvement activities
  •  Prepare and issue defects list for closure by relevant work groups 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Required bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13  years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience​

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Technical knowledge of LNG Process Facilities
  • Previous EEHA and QA experience 
  • Proficient in planning and scheduling
  • Familiarity with Bechtel processes and procedures an advantage
