Pluto Train 2 is the expansion of a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha in Western Australia run by Woodside Energy.  Woodside Energy is Australia's leading natural gas producer, and Bechtel is excited to be working with this key customer to help meet the increasing global demand for LNG as a transitional energy source.

About the Role:

The Craft Supervisor – Piping is responsible for supervising and directing operations within the Piping discipline.

In your new role as Craft Supervisor – Piping, you will:

• supervise and direct Craft Professionals in construction activities within assigned area.
• perform employee reviews and identify training and development opportunities for subordinate Piping personnel.
• input craft time records using established automated tools.
• complete performance evaluations on direct reports.
• provide leadership for safety, accident and fire prevention on the project.
• ensure the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.
• monitor the activities of subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules.
• perform other duties as required by Lead Piping Superintendent.

What You Bring:

To be successful in your new role, you will need:

• significant relevant field experience.
• knowledge of EPCM contract Management, and the Contractor(s) and their subcontractor’s (if applicable) responsibilities.
• knowledge of construction technologies.
• knowledge of supervisory functions relating to field activities.
• familiarity with current industry quality standards.

Additional Information:

This position has responsibilities that include exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions, which may include: extensive walking in and around an active construction and/or operations site, climbing ladders, working at heights from work platforms including scaffolding, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), use of personal fall arrest equipment, walking and working on uneven surfaces, working in constricted and/or confined spaces, variable work shifts (e.g., day, night, weekends, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, etc.), and work in inclement weather. Some lifting may be required. Candidate must be able to use standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. respirator, harness, life vest, hearing protection, etc.).

The Pluto Train 2 Project is a Major Hazard Facility meaning this is a non-smoking site and no tobacco products – i.e. cigarettes, vapes, lighters, tobacco - are permitted to be brought to the site.
