Project Overview:
Pluto Train 2 is the expansion of a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha in Western Australia run by Woodside Energy. Woodside Energy is Australia's leading natural gas producer, and Bechtel is excited to be working with this key customer to help meet the increasing global demand for LNG as a transitional energy source. Job Summary:
In this role, you will coordinate and support completions certification activities and turnover/handover for a project, through construction, commissioning, and handover phases of the program. You will liaise with stakeholders to identify gaps in upcoming packages and focus on areas to support the completions effort. Your work will help ensure projects are completed on time and meet contractual requirements.
Major Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all work is performed safely, efficiently, and meets engineering requirements as designed.
- Lead, coordinate and ensure compliance with PTW, LOTO procedures when required.
- Coordinate with the 3rd Party System Representatives for all activities relative to site acceptance testing (SAT) and site integration testing (SIT) of 3rd Party Vendor Package control system.
- Coordinate with the 3rd Party Vendor Package Representatives, CSU and Construction testing teams during loop checks, interlock testing, sequence/complex loop testing, commissioning and start-up support and LNG performance runs.
- Coordinate interface testing between ICSS and 3rd Party Vendor Packages systems.
- Plans, develops, coordinates and directs startup activities within the I&C discipline.
- Coordinate IPF (Instrument Protective Function) testing of 3rd Party Vendor package control systems to ensure compliance with functional safety testing procedures and Functional Safety Assessment 3 (FSA 3) requirements.
- Assist in preparation of dossiers for FSA3 of 3rd Party Vendor Package systems.
- Provide resolution of technical questions arising in the area of specialty and ensure compliance with management of change procedures for corrections and engineering changes during construction, commissioning and startup phases.
- Communicate and Interface between the Instrument testing teams, ICSS team, 3rd Party Vendors, Operations team and the client when testing is being performed to ensure all parties are familiar with the testing and procedures.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of testing.
- Ensure compliance to OT cybersecurity requirements for 3rd Party Vendor Package systems.
- Assist and coordinate troubleshooting between field technicians, ICSS, and 3rd Party Vendor Package systems.
- Coordination and support to construction, sub-contractors, instrument suppliers, 3rd Party Vendor Package representatives and control room operators.
- Provide assistance and input to pre-startup safety reviews.
- Redline and maintain "As Build" drawings and raise Project Technical Queries (NCR, RFI, FCD) as required.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Demonstrated leadership and commitment to safety and Bechtel vision and values including active participation in project safety surveillance programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of ten years in LNG experience, e.g. engineering, procurement, construction, start-up and commissioning and warranty.
- I&C Commissioning and Startup experience in an industrial environment (Oil & Gas).
- Good leadership qualities, communication skills, both verbal and written and demonstrated problem solving skills.
- Must be experienced with most of the following: instrument calibrations, loop checking, interlock testing, instrument troubleshooting, wiring diagrams, loop drawings, document red lines, P&ID’s, Cause & Effects diagrams, Interlock Narratives, various types of test equipment.
- Good knowledge in MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint.
- Planning and scheduling daily activities with the ability to meet scheduled targets and deadlines.
- People skills are a must at a professional level combined with good work ethics and attitude.
- Ability to work extended hours on short notice or when required to complete important tasks.
- Broad knowledge of industry and regulatory standards and criteria pertinent to startup, maintenance, operations, or testing.
