Project Overview:

Ujina Growth Project:

The mining area is located 185 km southeast of Iquique, at 4,400 meters above sea level, in Tarapacá Region. The main objective of Doña Inés de Collahuasi’s project is to increase the concentrator’s throughput capacity from an average of 170 ktpd to 210 ktpd. Currently, the awarded service corresponds to the execution of Package PG1 - the first of three packages contemplated for this project - which involves the detailed engineering and procurement (EP) of six flotation cells, and on-site support during the construction phase. Service for package PG1, which began on August 1, 2023, is a continuation of the study phase (FEL3) and is expected to be completed in February 2025.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will provide non-routine cost engineering/planning and scheduling needs to projects. You will establish stakeholder relationships, conduct schedule analysis and integrate activities, identify restraints, quantify risks, monitor cost and performance, recommend alternatives, and deliver training sessions and workshops. Your activities will synthesize project components into seamless execution.

Major Responsibilities:

• Coordinating cost engineering/planning and scheduling needs to projects
• Coordinating with all departments to ensure understanding of total project schedule needs
• Identifying schedule considerations and problems resulting from inter-discipline or functional restraints and interfaces
• Monitoring and reporting critical path and schedule performance of the total project
• Conducting project schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities. Collecting and analyzes alternatives for schedule improvement. 
• Coordinating cost recording, monitoring, & reporting practices for compliance with applicable standards
• Coordinating the development and accuracy of cost reports
• Preparing specific budgets in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures
• Overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of detailed project risk register through ongoing reviews to ensure data quality, accuracy, and timeliness including facilitation support during the risk workshops, risk identification sessions and other risk related activities
• Delivering training sessions and facilitates workshops

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience

• Knowledge of Bechtel quantity tracking procedures
• Strong communication skills
• Quantity tracking
• Construction weekly reports
• Knowledge of Bechtel Teamworks and Setroute systems
