Project Overview:
Ujina Growth Project:
The mining area is located 185 km southeast of Iquique, at 4,400 meters above sea level, in Tarapacá Region. The main objective of Doña Inés de Collahuasi’s project is to increase the concentrator’s throughput capacity from an average of 170 ktpd to 210 ktpd. Currently, the awarded service corresponds to the execution of Package PG1 - the first of three packages contemplated for this project - which involves the detailed engineering and procurement (EP) of six flotation cells, and on-site support during the construction phase. Service for package PG1, which began on August 1, 2023, is a continuation of the study phase (FEL3).
Job Summary:
In this role, you will lead construction automation efforts for complex projects, using database management, programming skills, and 3D tools. You will establish and administer the portfolio of construction automation applications on the jobsite and data requirements. You will review performance and recommend adjustments to tailor solutions to support strategy and compliance.
Major Responsibilities:
- Developing a firm understanding of the scope and drawings of the system and area required for the development of building packages.
- Drawing up plans and schemes for engineering and construction.
- Database management and report generation.
- Being proactive in continuous learning or show interest in conducting appropriate learning activities.
- Extracting Naviswork model images and make graphical representation of progress and status of supplies of the project for weekly reportability.
- Preparing and issuing weekly graphic reports with the status of the supplies received and installed by the contractors, based on the Naviswork model.
- Multidisciplinary field designer in the area of engineering, working in the manufacture of: Civil FSK, Structures, Electrical FSK, Mechanical FSK/Piping, FSK Permits and approval of changes.
- Coordinating and interacting as indicated, with the terrain engineers and the materials management team, for everything related to advance graphic reportability.
- Coordinating the review and issuance in Aconex of the schemes prepared in conjunction with field engineering.
- Control of volumes (advance) of earthworks carried out by the project.
- Administrative control of weekly reports issued by field engineering to the client.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires a degree of Draftsman, designer, construction technician or professional in order, with a minimum of 5-8 years of experience in development of industrial projects on the ground or in design offices.
- Experience in carrying out field surveys of facilities to translate it into design software.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Management, of the following softwares.
- Microsoft Office (user)
- SmartPlant 3D (Intermediate)
- Navisworks (Intermediate)
- Microstation (intermediate)
- Autocad Civil 3D (Advanced)
- ProjectWize (Intermediate)
- Autocad. (Advanced)
- Aconex (user)
- Intermediate level of English (desirable).
