Project Overview:

Ujina Growth Project:

The mining area is located 185 km southeast of Iquique, at 4,400 meters above sea level, in Tarapacá Region. The main objective of Doña Inés de Collahuasi’s project is to increase the concentrator’s throughput capacity from an average of 170 ktpd to 210 ktpd. Currently, the awarded service corresponds to the execution of Package PG1 - the first of three packages contemplated for this project - which involves the detailed engineering and procurement (EP) of six flotation cells, and on-site support during the construction phase. Service for package PG1, which began on August 1, 2023, is a continuation of the study phase (FEL3) and is expected to be completed in February 2025.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will be required to lead the construction automation efforts for complex projects, using database management, programming skills and 3D tools. Establish and manage the jobsite construction automation application portfolio and data requirements.

Major Responsibilities:

• Establishing and manage the set of Construction applications in the project, including but not limited to TeamWorks, SETROUTE, Unifier, Conservation and Maintenance Module and Measurement and Test Equipment.
• Implementing the construction automation tools according to the project automation plan, designing/developing workflows, forms and templates for automation tools.
• Coordinating with design engineering, procurement, project controls and other departments to establish automated data transfer between applications.
• Ensuring reports accurately reflect data and work as intended.
• Collecting performance curves, metrics, trackers and user feedback to show trends and use them in improvements.
• Reviewing output data and preparation of report types with PFE and CM instructions.
• Providing training and technical support of the set of Construction Automation applications.
• Coordinating construction requirements with the project lead/IT manager to ensure they are incorporated into the project automation plan.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of engineering and construction methods and processes routinely acquired over time through specialized instruction or hands-on experience.
• Extensive knowledge of TeamWorks and associated applications is required.
• Experience with other Bechtel standard applications, including UNIFIER, SETROUTE, DSCS and ACONEX.
• Good understanding of Bechtel standard construction work procedures (SWPP). Advanced level ability with MS Excel and Access is required.
• Knowledge about Advanced Work Package (AWP) methodology and its implementation. Intermediate-level SQL database and reporting platforms (SQL, SSRS-SQL Server Reporting Services, PBI) are required.
• End User, System Administrator or Construction Automation Experience with one or more of the following applications: eTrack, TeamWorks, , xFighters, Smart Completions.
• Experience working with Windows servers, including installing server-side applications, configuring shared resources, scheduled tasks, etc.
• Working knowledge of Citrix and web applications would be an advantage.
• Experience supporting Project Field Engineers, Procurement Specialists, on multiple projects.
