Job Summary:

The Supply Chain Financial Analyst will report to the BSQE Finance Manager and provide financial and accounting support to the Supply Chain organization in Houston and other regions. This role is responsible for financial execution, oversight of Supply Chain budgets and forecasts, management reporting, and financial analysis to support Supply Chain execution strategies. The position works closely with regional and project Supply Chain leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, effective controls, and alignment with Bechtel policies and procedures. The role may require occasional travel within the United States and the ability to work independently while coordinating across multiple time zones. 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Establishes and maintains financial and administrative controls for the Supply Chain function in accordance with Bechtel policies, procedures, and governance requirements. 
  • Manages Supply Chain financial accounts, including budgets, forecasts, general ledger activity, job cost, and commitment tracking.  
  • Prepares and analyzes financial data, including cost estimates, forecasts, variance analysis, and adhoc management reports to support decisionmaking. 
  • Supports Supply Chain execution strategy through financial insight, trend analysis, and early identification of risks and opportunities. 
  • Leads and coordinates the annual external audit activities for the Supply Chain function and supports internal audits as required. 
  • Responds to management inquiries related to Supply Chain financial performance, controls, and compliance. Collaborates closely with Corporate Finance, Tax, Treasury, BBS, and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency.  
  • Communicates effectively with Supply Chain management, functional teams, and project teams across regions.  
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 5–7 years of relevant experience, or  10+ years of relevant financial, accounting, or project controls experience. 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of organizational structures, internal controls, and corporate policies and procedures. 
  • Extensive experience in project accounting and financial support for operational or supply chain functions.  
  • Experience with joint venture procedures and joint venture accounting.  
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data, identify emerging issues, and recommend practical solutions. 
  • Solid knowledge of accounting and financial principles, including generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). 
  • Experience with core accounting functions such as payables, receivables, billing, payroll, and financial reporting.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.  
  • High proficiency in computer applications and standard software tools, including advanced spreadsheet development, complex formulas, macros, and adhoc financial reporting.
