Job Summary:
General - The Robotics Research and Development Project Manager will oversee the execution of prioritized robotics initiatives, advancing concepts from pilot stages to full-scale adoption on active construction sites.

"This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership”
Major Responsibilities:
- Facilitating the development of robotic solutions from identification to proof-of-concept demonstration.
- Working with task teams to develop an overarching technology roadmap and complete proof-of-concept testing and development.
- Engaging internally and externally with a diverse group to maximize innovation and implementation.
- Overseeing the technology roadmap prototype development pipeline.
- Leading a dedicated team of SMEs through the roadmap development process, including through the technology readiness lifecycle (TRL1-8).
- Developing and managing initiative schedules for development and testing.
- Creating staffing plans and requesting the necessary resources for initiative development teams.
- Tracking and reporting initiative progress.
- Active management and oversight of actions to advance robotics within Bechtel.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.
Job Knowledge
- Proficient with a variety of communication means and methods.
- Expertise with ideation tools and techniques.
- Experience as a change agent.
- Experience with Agile development practices.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of Construction Industry.
- Familiarity with integrated EPC work process and procedures.
- Experience with project management practices and methods.
- Experience supervising small agile development teams.
- Hands-on experience with tools, technology, and/or robotics.
Preferred Skills
- Broad knowledge of industrial business sectors to identify synergies.
- Experience with intellectual property and patents.
- Advanced Engineering or Technology Degree.
- Applied Robotics experience.
