Job Summary:
In this role, you serve as a strategic partner to the Energy GBU, providing proactive support to strengthen relationships and assessing opportunities that align Bechtel Enterprises (BEn) capabilities with GBU priorities. You will lead efforts to orchestrate BEn’s work with the Energy GBU, fostering collaboration, driving innovative growth strategies, and delivering impactful results that advance Bechtel’s position in the Energy Sector.
Familiarity with Energy GBU activities and/or prior experience working within the GBU is highly beneficial, enabling deeper alignment and faster impact in this role, is preferred.
Your overall responsibilities will include:
1. Support strategic growth for the Energy GBU by integrating external market insights and identifying opportunities that align Bechtel Enterprises (BEn) capabilities with GBU priorities
2. Initiating, developing, and helping to drive PCP and non-PCP strategic collaborations to create privileged relationships and create front-end opportunities upstream of EPC work;
3. Coordinate internally with BEn PCP leads to help action private capital and strategic partnership strategies through the Energy GBU, ensuring alignment and effective execution.;
4. Developing and orchestrating new joint BEn/GBU solutions for customers, ultimately resulting in new sources of profitable revenue;
5. Facilitating BEn services (e.g., financial services) to enhance GBU offerings and deliver integrated solutions to Bechtel’s customers.
This high-impact role will shape BEn’s strategy for strategic engagements and inorganic growth in the Energy GBU. It calls for a dynamic leader with strong collaboration skills to build trust with senior stakeholders across Energy GBU and BEn. Success requires legal and commercial acumen, a deep network, proven leadership and followership within Bechtel, and exceptional relationship management.

Major Responsibilities:
- Provide GBU with unique insights through strategic and privileged relationships with funds.
- Support the development and execution of the PCP strategy for the GBU.
- Support the integration of private capital perspectives within GBU’s strategy-defining process.
- Coordinate internally with BEn PCP leads to help source, shape, and execute strategic partnerships backed by private capital that unlock opportunities for the Energy GBU.
- Expand the prospect pipeline and hit rate of prospects through these strategic partnerships
- Work with BEn PCP leads to shape and unlock capital project opportunities with Middle East and other Sovereign Wealth Funds, both domestically and internationally.
- Work closely with BEn PCP leads and other internal stakeholders to action private capital backed partnership strategies through the Energy GBU.
- Support GBU teams in building and deepening relationships with strategic partners, positioning Bechtel as a trusted collaborator.
- Facilitate dialogue and engagement that strengthens collaboration across BEn and GBU teams.
- Helping access and create new financing service and project development opportunities for BEn within the GBU.
- Be the conduit for the GBU into BEn to support the respective financing related support for our customers ensuring resources and talent are deployed on high value add services.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Level I:
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree (or international equivalent) required.
- 15 years of relevant experience or 19+ years of relevant work experience in energy, infrastructure, or related industries.
- Experience with business development and operational efforts
- Demonstrated experience engaging with external stakeholders, bankers, including customers, partners, OEMs, technology providers, government officials, consultants, and advisors.
- Experience managing direct reports and building followership within the Bechtel organization.
- Experience structuring commercial work to access customer opportunities.
Level II:
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree (or international equivalent) required.
- 18 years of relevant experience or 12+ years of relevant work experience in energy, infrastructure, or related industries.
- Experience with business development and operational efforts
- Demonstrated experience engaging with external stakeholders, bankers, including customers, partners, OEMs, technology providers, government officials, consultants, and advisors.
- Experience managing direct reports and building followership within the Bechtel organization.
- Experience structuring commercial work to access customer opportunities.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent conceptual problem-solving skills: track record of independently leading teams to structure analyses and build insights, particularly in ambiguous or high-stakes situations.
- Ability to build and execute strategies for building growth businesses, in ambiguous situations.
- Excellent executive-level communication skills both written and verbal, and graphic presentation skills with the ability to synthesize and tailor messages to diverse audiences.
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills to engage senior leaders across GBUs, BGI, and external organizations.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities to manage multiple priorities effectively.
