Senior Construction Planner

The Construction Planner will be responsible for the development of the construction portion of the EPC schedule for a major petrochemical project proposal.  Candidate will be expected to understand the complete project scope, the project schedule objectives and be capable of developing and maintaining a plan to accomplish those objectives.  The successful candidate will plan and coordinate schedule interfaces with JV partners, vendors and subcontractors and oversee related efforts from the scheduling team.  The Construction Planner will begin development of the construction schedule during the project FEED phase and will work with the lead scheduler to integrate the plan into the overall EPC schedule. 


Basic Qualifications


·               Bachelor Degree required

·               Idea candidate has 10-15 years of project controls experience with previous responsibilities in planning and scheduling on large scale project(s)

·               Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, which include schedule development, control, and analysis.

·               Knowledge of earned value management systems, particularly Bechtel’s QURR and the associated BSAPs which support the QURR (eTrack, Teamworks, ePCWorks).

·               Skilled in oral and written communication.

·               Proficiency with PC operating systems, with proficiency in several basic software applications.

·               Proficiency with multiple discipline specific software applications currently used in Bechtel (Primavera and Microsoft Office Applications, for example).

·               Intermediate level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes, as performed by Bechtel.

·               Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
