Project Overview:

As part of the Plant Design and PIping (PD&P) Functional Automation team, the S3D Adminstrator will have the opportunity to work across multiple Bechtel projects. 

Job Summary:

In this role, you will plan, develop, administer and innovate PD&P automation 3D tools on large projects having specialized requirements. Your technical input will ensure that automation configuration compliance are met while resolving complex 3D related issues. 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Under minimum supervision, represents the Company in response to customer reported problems and to situations presented that require diverse and expert knowledge of Company 3D Plant Design products. 
  • Provides technical support to internal and external customers, interfaces directly with product development and provides solutions to reported problems and to situations presented. 
  • Performs technical tasks in support of installation, maintenance, and use of Company 3D Plant Design products.
  • Assignments may include determining and/or developing software specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
  • Must be capable of relating Company 3D Plant Design products to a particular discipline and giving direction and guidance during the development and implementation of Company 3D Plant Design products.
  • Participate in technical workshops and training and will conduct technical presentations for customers.
  • Participate in consulting across department functions and services. Perform product certification related to the 3D platform and company specific workflows. 
  • Participate and lead the development of specialized standard practices and procedures utilized in customer support.
  • Exercise extensive ingenuity and independent judgment to the development of solutions for complex problems. 
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of principles, and concepts of product specialization. 
  • Apply extensive expertise as a Smart 3D specialist and has a working knowledge of interrelationship of products.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires bachelor's degree in Engieering or Computer Science (or international equivalent) and 7+ years of relevant experience or 15 years of relevant work experience​. 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Requires 7+ years of experience implementing, administrating, and supporting Computer Aided 3D Design applications. 
  • Requires 7+ years of experience with Smart 3D implementing interfaces with peripheral applications. 
  • Requires 7+ years of experience as technical lead. 
  • Requires experience with Visual Basic 6, Microsoft .NET, COM/.NET, Microsoft SQL server se setup/administration, and Client/Server architecture of Windows. 
  • Prior consulting experience implementing Smart 3D and supporting installation, configuration and customization is preferred.  
  • Prior design tool administration lead on large scale projects required.
