Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as Construction Off-Site Manufacturing (OSM) Lead. The OSM Lead will be part of the Construction organization and responsible for managing construction activities for large-scale offsite manufacturing or module fabrication and assembly work for the project. This role involves cross-functional integration and coordination with various departments including engineering, procurement, subcontracts, construction, and commissioning to ensure the successful execution of OSM activities. The OSM Lead will also focus on supporting the project’s safety, quality, cost and schedule goals by overseeing all activities of the project regarding OSM Construction, supporting the transfer of construction hours from the job site to off-site manufacturing facilities based on the project’s OSM plan. #LI-SM2

Major Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, subcontracts, construction, and commissioning teams to develop and execute an integrated plan for offsite manufacturing.
  • Responsible for planning, supervising and directing Construction operations within for project modularization plan, identification of modules, support to specification, procurement, transportation, and logistics of modules, which may include pipe, steel, mechanical equipment, electrical, instrumentation.
  • Ensure that OSM skids and modules within area of responsibility are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • This will involve extended time periods and oversight at module fabrication facilities.
  • Ensure that Construction quality assurance and quality control processes are in place to ensure compliance with design plans and specifications.
  • Plan and coordinate construction schedules, monitor development of module and site work scope and quantities, and track project readiness to receive modules.
  • Address and resolve any issues related to constructability, design, and procurement to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Prepare and present reports on OSM Construction status, progress, and performance to internal and external clients and project sponsors.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Required bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13  years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience​.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in construction, engineering, project management, commissioning, or offsite manufacturing.
     

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proven experience in managing complex and large scale Construction scopes and initiatives.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic Construction environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of the use of subcontracts, and the contractor and subcontractor’s responsibilities contained in subcontract documents.
  • An understanding of the application and requirements of Project Environmental, Safety & Health.Experience in the life sciences sector.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in offsite manufacturing and modular construction.
