Project Overview:

Louisiana LNG (LLNG) is located approximately 11 miles southwest of Lake Charles, Louisiana. The project includes a mid-scale, mixed-refrigerant Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on the west side of the Calcasieu River. There are five identical process plants. Each process plant consists of one gas pre-treatment unit, one condensate stabilization unit, and four Chart heavy hydrocarbon (HHC) removal and liquefaction groups. The facility will include associated utilities, refrigerant storage, three 235,000m3 full-containment LNG storage tanks, and three marine berths. 

 

Job Summary:

You will be responsible for domestic and international multi-leg shipments with both internal and external entities, ensuring safe, timely, and economical delivery of goods to meet project requirements. Your work will help ensure project requirements are satisfied in accordance with policies and procedures.  This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Performs domestic and international multi- leg shipment responsibilities in support of project requirements to ensure the safe, timely, and economical delivery of goods to meet project requirements.
  • Directly assists Project Logistics Lead with Logistics service provider bid tabs, commitment authorizations and contract documents within the scope of Bechtel policies and procedures.   
  • Coordinates shipments with requisite internal and external entities for single and multi-leg shipment of various transport modes, especially barge and container shipments
  • Participates in identifying transport cost and service alternatives to support materials/equipment purchase decisions and use of Logistics Service Providers
  • Performs work in a Logistics technical, estimating, operations or commercial role supporting a small/moderate sized project with limited scope as a deployed, dedicated resource in the home office, field, or chartering team.
  • Ensures timely entry of shipment release and tracking data into Transportation Management System (TMS) and other functional tools/system to provide visibility shipment status
  • Prepares logistics reports or performance metrics as required to satisfy project information requirements
  • Ensures audit and processing of Logistics Service Provider invoices in accordance with project procedures
  • Participates in the preparation of logistics studies including site and Logistics Service Provider facility visits
  • Assists with filing and resolution of Logistics service provider claims and Close-out documentation 
  • Assists the Project Logistics Lead as requested.
  • Assists in supporting Bechtel Global Logistics (BGL) functional initiative as requested
  • Integrates safety requirements and measures in all Logistics activities

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Typically requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience.

 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience in barge and container multi-leg shipments
  • Knowledge of Incoterms 2020
  • Knowledge of international export and import requirements
  • Career development within field
  • Developing professional expertise, applies company policies & procedures to resolve a variety of issues

 

Job Complexity:

  • Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
