Project Overview:
In this position, you will support development and deliver both remote and on-site training related to Crane Operator Examiner (COE) and the assembly/disassembly of cranes (CAD, QAD). You will conduct audits on the crane program, aid in the creation of Bechtel SWPPs, and play a crucial role in the Crane Center of Excellence. This role will be based out of the Bechtel Equipment Operations (BEO) Equipment Yard located in South Houston.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will create and uphold the Crane Assembly and disassembly training program, which encompasses the BEO crane A/D request program. Develop and sustain the Crane operator evaluator training program, including the registry of certified COEs. Aid in formulating crane best practices aimed at enhancing the safety and performance of all crane activities. Support the investigation and development of new technologies, as well as tracking and utilization techniques to increase the efficiency of our cranes. Persist in establishing the Global Crane Center of Excellence. Assist in training Bechtel riggers as needed. #LI-TH1
Major Responsibilities:
Planning:
- Develop and training schedule for CAD’s and A/D’s.
- Develop tracking reports for all BEO certified CAD’s and QAD’s.
- Develop tracking reports for all BEO certified COE’s.
- Develop a schedule to audit crane operations on all Bechtel job sites.
- Assist projects in developing forecast manpower studies for A/D’s and COE’s.
- Assist projects with temporary A/D’s and COE’s.
- Maintain a schedule in Teams Planner to set priorities.
Safety and Quality:
- Develop best practices for crane safety.
- Assist in the develop weather preparedness planes for all cranes.
- Implements and enforce policies, procedures and related work rules as established by BEO management.
- Ensures Zero Accident Philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and in safe operational order.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience. Instructor or evaluator experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Licensed Crane operator by an accredited agency
- Licensed Basic and/or Advanced Rigger
- Licensed Rigger I or II by an accredited agency
- Passport required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Proficient in AutoCAD and MS projects
- Knowledge in OSHA, AMSE, MSHA requirements for cranes and rigging
- Knowledge in lift plans
