Bechtel is seeking a Hazard Analysis (PHA) Coordinator for the Texas High Speed Rail Project located in Dallas, TX. This position will begin as a short term assignment and will transition to long term. This individual will be 

responsible for:

 

  • Developing and maintaining the Project wide Hazard Log
  • Organizing and facilitating the Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA) Workshops
  • Expediting close-out of actions from the PHA Workshops
  • Supporting the System Safety Committee
  • Developing documents and presentations to the Federal Railroad Authority (FRA)

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university along with 10 years’ experience working in the rail, defense, space, nuclear or other similar safety-critical process industry
  • Prior knowledge of safety assurance and safety-critical risk assessment processes is essential
  • Must have the right to work and remain in the US

 

Additional Qualifications:

 

  • Tier 1 – Proven experience in the leadership of small teams and relevant discipline knowledge. 5 years of supervisory experience providing clear direction to team members and assigns and delegates tasks to qualified individuals with associated experience to organize, plan, budget, and schedule activities within a discipline or package of work. Demonstrated technical writing, data management, verbal communication and presentation skills. Excellent team membership and interpersonal skills.

 

  • Tier 2 – 5 years supervisory experience in the leadership of multidiscipline teams and relevant discipline knowledge. Manages and provides direction on all the technical issues, schedule and costs related to a specific discipline within multiple packages of work. Demonstrated technical writing, data management, verbal communication and presentation skills. Excellent team membership and interpersonal skills.
