Job Summary:
In this role, you will assist project workforce services (WFS) teams with policy interpretation, system management, and operational needs. You will perform research, internal evaluations, process mapping, data entry, and reporting, drafting bulletins and responding to support inquiries. Your cross-functional collaboration will enable information sharing that will contribute to successful project WFS activities.
Major Responsibilities:
- Assists the LR/IR/WFS project & office teams in policy interpretation, system/process management and functional and/or operational needs, such as maintaining and processing new hires
- Performs research, internal evaluations, and mass-upload/download exercises
- Designs, maps, and reviews WFS Processes using Excel or Visio
- Inputs data and uses LR/IR/WFS systems to query or report data, statistics, and metrics, and distributes routine & ad-hoc reports with WFS data to management, projects, countries, or regions. Interfaces with BBS counterparts to send data to or retrieve data from the data lake
- May work in a "helpdesk" environ. to respond to questions or support inquiries on WFS systems
- Learns data capture requirements at each step of the craft life cycle and helps broker the necessary interfaces between systems and functions
- Drafts project wage bulletins
- Collaborates between functions to share necessary data related to craft employee life cycles, logistics data, employee attributes, wage types, and more
Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires a University Hire with 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience with using software such as, HRIS systems (SAP), Applicant Tracking Systems such as BrassRing, Taleo, or SuccessFactors, and HR Metrics tools such as Power BI.
- Basic Knowledge of US employment laws and how they relate to the construction industry.
- Basic Knowledge of personnel recruiting and hiring processes.
- Ability to appear regularly to work in person and on-time in the Deer Park office or a construction site office setting, as needed.
- Ability to adapt to multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness and ability to learn to train system users to perform routine data administration tasks.
- Ability to interact and communicate with colleagues at all levels of the organization in a respectful and professional manner.
- Experience in working with others to accomplish a common objective.
- Written and verbal communication skills, adequate to explain complex technical items in simplified language.
- Ability to collaborate across functions/departments to achieve desired outcomes.
- Ability to work in the office several days per week, as the role is Part-time telework (Offices located in Greater Houston - specific reporting location may be flexible)
