Project Overview:
The PRGT FEED is an early engineering and pricing project for a natural gas pipeline across British Columbia, Canada. The supply chain team is working out of Bechtel's Houston office. Work includes preparing contracts for early design, geotech, survey as well as the pricing of major construction elements. There will be some support of material procurement.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will participate in subcontract formation and/or administration. Subcontract formation includes leading preparation and review of bid request packages and developing project contracts operating procedures. Subcontract administration includes continual progress review, forecasting, and communication of difficulties. Your work will ensure subcontract compliance with project requirements.
"This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.” #LI-CS1
Major Responsibilities:
- Work includes preparing contracts for early design, geotech, survey. Such contract shall to be administered and expedited.
- Work includes soliciting pricing of major construction elements. There will be some support of material procurement.
- Work includes bringing the major construction contract to a ready to award state at the end of the FEED process.
- Work may continue into the Execution Phase of the pipeline construction.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Level 1
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience
Level 2
- Requires bachelor’s degree (or internation equivalent) and 7-10 years of relevant experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Necessary to have knowledge of contract formation, from request for proposal preparation, pre-bid meeting, technical evaluation, commercial evaluation, price negotiation and terms and conditions negotiation.
- Experience with Canadian companies, contracts, first nations, pipeline, offshore.
- Need to be good at communication, able to present and lead, organized, self-motivated
- Good to have Contract administration skills such as leading meeting, writing letter, evaluating changes and claims, negotiating, interpreting terms and conditions, schedule analysis.
