Job Summary:
The Business Development Associate (BDA) is responsible for supporting business development managers in developing prospect win strategies, preparation of proposals and presentations to customers, and coordinating with the proposal group to ensure timely submittal of quality deliverables. The BDA is also responsible for maintaining various reports and tracking systems to capture key information about the businesses pursuits. The BDA supports the businesses marketing needs through the coordination of conferences and development of marketing materials.
Major Responsibilities:
- Assists in the preparation and monitoring of proposal efforts coordinating with proposals group
- Drafting of Bid/No-Bids
- Assisting with Win Plan development
- Manage proof point, experience list and track/report on market data, trends
- Assists in the development of proposal material
- Assists the BD Manager with initial drafting of policy letters and coordinated input of same.
- Maintains records of prospects, client, and competitor information in CRM.
- Coordinate with and support BD managers to ensure prospects are up-to-date and relevant.
- Manage client and competitor account information.
- Produce reports from CRM.
- Participate in proposal, estimate, and project reviews of the commercial/business matters in policy letters and related policy approval requests prior to submission to GBU and/or corporate management.
- Assists BD managers with customer presentations and participates in customer meetings as needed.
- Assists with conference coordination and development of marketing material.
- Assists with overall strategy development/refinement and market research.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- High standard of work ethics, self-starter
- Skill in computer software applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Outlook.)
- Possess project execution experience.
- Demonstrated ability to organize, plan and direct resources to meet critical bidding dates.
