Project Overview:
Louisiana LNG is located approximately 11 miles southwest of Lake Charles, Louisiana. The project includes a mid-scale, mixed-refrigerant Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on the west side of the Calcasieu River. There are five identical process plants. Each process plant consists of one gas pre-treatment unit, one condensate stabilization unit, and four Chart heavy hydrocarbon (HHC) removal and liquefaction groups. The facility will include associated utilities, refrigerant storage, three 235,000m3 full-containment LNG storage tanks, and three marine berths.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will lead a team and supervise superintendents and/or craft professionals on a project. You will direct craft professional activities and work schedules, and coordinate subcontract work activities and team development. Your oversight will ensure craft professionals have the tools required to be productive, comply with project policies, procedures, and job site work rules and procedures, and perform within specifications, schedules and budgets.
Major Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and direction to Construction team on project’s Compressor/ Turbine areas
- Provide design and constructability reviews to LNG project during pre-FEED, FEED and EPC execution phases.
- Works with Site/Project Manager, Project engineering and HSSE teams to address safe design constructability to ensure the agreed sequential work is installed in a safe manner with acceptable quality.
- Reviews, monitors and tracks construction schedule and progress and ensures overall project schedule compliance
- Ensures safe efficient turnover of plant to Commissioning and Start-up at mechanical Completion
- Coordinates with Commissioning and Start-up Manager and engineers to facilitate start-up of the project in accordance with operations agreed system turnover plan and plant performance testing and expectations.
- Advise projects team on effectively managing Baker Hughes. Setting up Action items / NCR logs, weekly meetings, monitoring tools, back-charge program etc
- Develop staffing plans for BH and APC site support. Guide site teams on staying within budgeted hours for Baker Hughes. Lower cost and maximize utilization of vendors.
- Participate in coordination meetings with Baker Hughes and advise site team on all projects on how to manage BH site team/ set expectations
- Develop construction plans for Compressor Areas integrating all disciplines and commissioing up to 1st cargo. Steward Compressor plan progress with site supervision.
- Integral part of Site’s Compressor Area team - Advise on structuring site team (structure/ pipe/ mech/ E&I) in compressor area for optimal results and advise site team on managing back-charges with BH effectively

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Support Field Engineering and Superintendents with IWPs with Advance Work Packaging and Quality Control Documentation.
- Technical advisory for activities like Lube oil flushing program, dry gas seals, pipe connections, system walks, cold cranks,
- compressor mechanical runs, start-up and performance test
- Technical advisory for Pipe and Testing teams for installing and testing pipes in correct sequence/ priorities required for CMRs,
- including set-up and walkdown of blow paths.
- Prioritization of cable pull, terminations, loop checks and function checks to support pre-commissioing and commissioning
- milestones
- Visits construction sites and inspects important stages of construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning.
- Visit vendors to Support Supplier Quality Program including shop inspections of BH equipment. Supports on-time delivery of
- compressors to jobsite.
- Witness string tests of compressor units and prepare project teams by sharing lessons learnt and remedial action program
- Share lessons learnt with site team from other compressor areas and BH issues
- Lead Root cause analysis of chronic issues on turbomachinery. Investigate and propose improvements.
