Job Description

Bechtel is seeking a Microsoft Teams Systems Administrator to support our Unified Communication Operations Team. The main focus of the Unified Communication Operations Team is on supporting, configuring, troubleshooting, upgrading and deploying Unified Communication technologies.  Along with the team, the Unified Communication Engineer acts as third level technical support on the deployed technologies providing specialized assistance to other Bechtel organizations. 


The Duties and Responsibilities of this Position Include:

  • Support Bechtel’s global Unified Communication Infrastructure
  • Conduct intermediate-level fault finding and issue resolution while responding to technical issues and requests
  • Work in a globally dispersed team, ensuring assignments are coordinated with various support teams and are completed on-time
  • Document and publish processes and procedures
  • Develop and conduct training for customers and technical peers
  • Maintain assigned workgroup queue
  • Communicate with customers to assess needs and requirements
  • Hands on experience in Teams EV(enterprise voice), Auto attendant, call queue and Voicemail.
  • Experience on Configuring and Administration of AudioCodes SBC.
  • Provide administration and Client based Support to Teams EV.
  • Clear understanding of PowerShell commands and scripting in Teams and Teams EV environments and SIP.
  • Clear understanding of Cloud Platforms (Azure/AWS )
  •  Experience in deploying and configuring Lync 2013, Skype for business 2015 or Teams.
  • Should have knowledge of MS office 365 and support.
  • Configuration of Teams policies and Integration of teams with Third party cloud solutions like AWS, AudioCodes, Poly or Luware.
  • Should have knowledge about Manage AudioCodes One Voice Operations Center (OVOC) environment and Teams.
  • Experience in supporting server health check and should be in position to recommend the best practices. Solid understanding of Tools-Fiddler/Netmon and Wireshark.
  • Patch and configuration management of AudioCodes One Voice Operations Center (OVOC) Environment
  • Experience in handling Teams Mobile Clients Like iphone, Windows Phone & Android Phones
  • Experience in handling communication servers like OCS and Lync, Skype for business 2015 servers.


Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with Data Networking, Microsoft Technologies, IP telephony and/or video conferencing technologies and standards
  • 2+ years of experience with supporting Microsoft Lync 2010 or Lync 2013 in a large enterprise environment, including enterprise voice


Additional Information

  • Operations  experience in a multi-site enterprise environment
  • Experience in Migration from Skype for business 2015 to Teams.
  • Integration experience with video conferencing and/or VOIP systems
  • General network experience, including understanding of TCP/IP and DNS
  • Strong troubleshooting, analysis and consultative skills
  • Knowledge of infrastructure architecture concepts, configurations, and standards
  • Strong communications skills, including experience in writing and reviewing technical documentation
  • Demonstrate project management experience with implementing IT infrastructure projects, ability to coordinate and direct efforts in a distributed team environment
  • Able to work varied shifts, overtime, and on-call to support activities as necessary
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, collaboration and customer service skills
  • Experience with AudioCodes SBC and devices
  • AZ-900, MS-900, MS-301,MS-300,MS-700 certifications are preferred 
  • BE \ B-tech in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field is preferred
