Develop and manage key growth areas for Bechtel India Supply Chain. The areas include but not limited to, Supplier Quality, Category Management, Logistics, Materials Management and Indirect Procurement. Interface with Global Business Units to identify opportunity and develop the capability and capacity on these domains. Ensures that competence of the talent and performance of the work are consistent with applicable policies, procedures, and objectives and meets Global Business Unit and project needs. Supports development of regional and global procurement strategies.
JOB DIMENSIONS:
A. Supervision Received
· Reports to and receives technical and operational guidance from Manager of Supply Chain, India.
B. Supervision Exercised
· Provides technical, operational, and functional guidance to various supply chain domain team members.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Lead various functional teams, develop long term plan and deliver the expected performance.
· Maintains regular communication with the functional Managers of global business unit for business update and identify new opportunities for India office in key areas such as Supplier Quality, Logistics, Material Management, etc.
· Periodic review of India office performance to identify good practices, lesson learnt, and challenges in execution and provide required support to enable success of teams.
· Supports Manager of Supply Chain in hiring, staffing plan and other functional activities.
· On a regular basis, reviews and appraises the functional capabilities to meet short- and long-term objectives and makes appropriate changes.
· Provides staffing recommendations for various projects / activities based on India office Division of Responsibility.
· Provides oversight / supervision to indirect procurement team, ensure timely award placement and resolution of outstanding issues.
· Promotes and practices teambuilding, safety and performance-based leadership across team members.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Basic Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics or Production Engineering from a reputed University. Post-graduate specialization in Supply Chain Management preferred. 15+ years of industry experience including 3 years in a senior leadership role in a reputed EPC company working on global oil and gas, refinery, and petrochemicals projects.
Additional Qualifications
· Proficiency and experience in Project Procurement Management.
· Knowledge of supply chain policy and procedures, experience and skill Talent Management, including selection, hiring, training, development and performance management.
· Thorough knowledge of procurement processes, tools and techniques.
· Experience and/or familiarity with, supplier quality, logistics, and field procurement operations.
