Job Summary:
At Bechtel, we are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Development Lead with minimum 8 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in ServiceNow development, a strong leadership ability to guide a team effectively, and the capability to engage directly with business analysts and stakeholders to apprehend business requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs. The role requires in-depth knowledge of various ServiceNow modules and a proven track record of successful project implementations.
Major Responsibilities:
- Proficiency in JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML, CSS, and XML with hands-on experience in ServiceNow scripting.
- Proficient in configuring various ServiceNow modules, including IT Service Management, HR Service Delivery, IT Business Management, and Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC).
- Design and implement ServiceNow ITOM modules, including Discovery and Orchestration, to gain comprehensive visibility into our IT environment.
- Configure MID Servers and integrate them with variety of network devices, servers, and applications for automated asset discovery.
- Exposure to Virtual Agent and Agent Workspace.
- Experience on Workflows, Flow Designer, SLAs, UI Pages, UI Macros, UI Actions, UI Policy, Events, Notifications, View, Reports, Dashboards, Transform Maps, Service Portals, and other administrative functions within the ServiceNow platform.
- Skilled in integrating ServiceNow with third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs. Experienced in complex ServiceNow environments with integrations like LDAP, Active Directory, SSO, and Service Graph Connector.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform, including modules like Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Service Catalog, Asset and Configuration Management.
- Strong critical planning capabilities, including developing comprehensive project plans with obtainable goals, establishing clear timelines, and coordinating across cross-functional teams.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with a customer-focused mindset and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. Develops systems integrations and process automation, which fully utilizes the platform workflow capabilities.
- Works with ServiceNow Business Analyst and Developer to build requested services and tasks using workflows to manage processes and meet business requirements.
- Provides configuration assistance to developers.
- Collaborates with other teams to Design and implement data feeds and interfaces with other systems, including databases, monitoring tools, etc.
- Manages direct team plus matrixed resources to introduce and maintain platform integrations.
- Host/participate in project-related meetings and host ongoing governance meetings.
- Manage vendor resources to help introduce and maintain ServiceNow integrations.
- Maintains a standard for day 2 operations of ServiceNow capabilities.
- Manages Platform Operations workload and SLAs.
- Defines change management process for the ServiceNow Platform.
- Work closely with platform owner and Process Leader on tying business to platform integration requirements.
- Provides advice on how business services are delivered with a vision for improvement.
- Take an advisory role in the configuration of the ServiceNow Platform
- Participates in process story discussions.
- Accountable for ServiceNow overall costs, budgeting, and payment to ServiceNow and selected integrations.
- Participates in upgrade planning and execution.
- Participates in the configuration of new applications or suites during planning, requirement gathering, Design, development, documentation and rollout phases.
- Broad knowledge of technology infrastructure platforms and previous experience integrating ITSM systems with Enterprise Applications and infrastructure platform
- Familiarity and experience working in an agile development environment.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or related technical discipline.
- 8-12 years of experience in ServiceNow development, with a strong understanding of the platform's capabilities and limitations.
- Proven experience leading and managing a team of developers, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Minimum 8 years of experience on the development, implementation, administration, and support tasks of the ServiceNow platform.
Required Knowledge and Skills:

- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.
- Knowledge of web technologies and cloud computing principles for cloud-based platforms that includes SaaS, PaaS, and automation.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Enhance ServiceNow applications, modules, and workflows to meet business requirements while retaining out-of-the-box (OOTB) functionality.
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes.
- Understanding and compassionate with team members' perspectives helps build trust and reputation, leading to a more cohesive and supportive team environment.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to jr. developers and other team members.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and guide the team through transitions or challenges is key to long-term success.
