Position Duties/Responsibilities

The ServiceNow Developer is responsible for working to develop, design and own technical solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The Service Now Developer will provide administration, application development, maintenance, and technical support by using good practice web programming techniques to configure robust solutions to the client utilizing the ServiceNow platform.

  1. Supports the efforts within application development, maintenance and support
  2. Develops professional work knowledge and abilities through the application of standard information systems methodology, techniques, procedures and criteria
  3. Interacting and working with globally distributed teams and customers. Understanding and analyzing client requirements and propose technical solutions for the requirements
  4. Codes and debugs software applications in accordance with Bechtel's Software Development Methodology Framework and the Software Development Standards
  5. Analyzes, maintains and implements (including performance tuning) existing software applications and develops programming specifications from business requirements.
  6. Promotes automation, standardization, best practices and code reuse for the application development
  7. Code and artifacts reviews
  8. Protects operations by keeping information confidential. 

Basic Skills/Qualifications

Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in ITSM technologies and comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. Candidate must be organized and analytical, adept at working in a team environment, able to implement on time to a project schedule, and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast moving environment.

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering (BCA/BE)
  2. 5+ years’ experience in working on Service Now implementation is desirable
  3. 3+ Years’ Experience in Service Poral
  4. Experience on Data formats like JSON and XML
  5. Good knowledge of JavaScript, JQuery, Angularjs, HTML and CSS
  6. Strong Object Oriented concepts
  7. Deep understanding and practical experience on implementing best practices for technical design and development
  8. Good written and verbal communication skills
  9. Agility and quick learner, understanding of the Software development lifecycle
  10. Good Analytical and problem-solving skills
  11. Knowledge of administration of a Service Now instance including the delegation of groups, modification of CMS, workflows, business rules, UI actions, UI policies, client scripts, ACLs, dictionary, catalog items and updates of all other existing solutions requiring revisions.
  12. Experience in scripting / designing (Business Rules, UI Pages, UI Macros, workflows, UI actions UI policies, ACLs, dictionary, catalog items)
  13. Web Services Integration (SOAP,REST, and JSON)
  14. Experience implementing Service Catalog, CMS, MID Server
  15. Understanding of ITIL.
  16. Ability to create Architecture and Data Flow diagrams and produce high level visuals of solution designs.
