Bechtel is seeking a Regional Human Resource (HR) Coordinator who will report to the Regional Human Resource Manager (Glendale, AZ). The position is responsible for growing the regional service-delivery model and will undertake HR operations within the region, including delivery of compliance programs, diversity & inclusion initiatives, employee relations and policy implementation as appropriate for the region, within corporate policy guidelines.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Recommend changes to HR policies, procedures and instructions through monitoring relevant legislative and market changes within the region
  • Deliver immigration work process management, including data, metrics and reporting to ensure regional compliance
  • Coordinate periodic reviews of HR policies, programs and management instructions, recommending revisions to promote internal equity and/or competitiveness within the industry, whilst maintaining compliance
  • Coordinate and facilitate training programs for new or revised policies or programs and evaluate effectiveness of implementation
  • Support Client specific requirements and/or initiatives that effect the region 
  • Support Employee Relations within the region, including concerns, grievances & disputes, mediation, performance management and workplace investigations
  • Provide advice, guidance and coaching to regional personnel in employee administration, policy and employee relations
  • Plan and deliver Diversity & Inclusion activities, including championing Diversity & Inclusion within the region
  • Performing other duties as required by the Regional HR Manager (Glendale, AZ)


Basic Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, plus five (5) years HR experience, OR in lieu of degree 9 years of experience
  • Demonstrated experience in multiple HR disciples including policy development, employment compliance, employee relations and project delivery
  • Working knowledge of regional employment legislation and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated experience conducting research, investigating alternatives and recommending solutions on areas affecting HR policy, employee relations and compliance
  • Previous experience working within a large matrix organization
  • Ability to travel as required


Additional Skills & Requirements:

  • Strong delivery focus and proven ability to exercise a high degree of individual initiative and judgment
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, whilst managing changing priorities & deadlines with multiple stakeholders
  • Detail oriented, organized, flexible and able to work across multiple work fronts is essential
  • Proven experience managing numerous Human Resources processes
  • Intermediate skill in MS office suite producing business-level reports, presentations and recommendations
