Role Overview:

Bechtel is seeking a Regional Human Resource (HR) Coordinator who will report to the Regional Human Resource Manager, South Asia. The position will undertake HR operations within the South Asia, Middle East and Africa (MEA) and Asia Pacific (AP) regions, including delivery of compliance programs, diversity & inclusion initiatives, employee relations and policy implementation as appropriate for the region, within corporate policy guidelines.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring, tracking and updated assignment dates for fixed term employees within the regions;
  • Initiating termination actions for releeases of National and Internations Contract (IC) employees within the regions;
  • System administration of LOA requests/involuntary LOA requests for employees with the regions;
  • Managing data records, trackers and reports for HR related transactions within the South Asia and ME regions;
  • Address employee policy queries as escated by Advisory Services;
  • Monitor data for involuntary separations and ensure timely inputs.  
  • Liase with Functions, HR and Payroll Teams;
  • Recommend changes to HR Policies, procedures and instructions through monitor relevant legislative and market and communicate changes within the region;
  • Work closely with other People Operations regional teams;
  • Other duties as required by the Regional HR Manager from time to time.



Basic Qualifications & Experience:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, plus two to four (2-4) years HR experience, OR in lieu of degree six to eight (6-8) years of experience

·         Demonstrated experience in multiple HR disciples including policy development, employment compliance, employee relations and project delivery

·         Working knowledge of regional employment legislation and compliance requirements

·         Demonstrated experience conducting research, investigating alternatives and recommending solutions on areas affecting HR policy, employee relations and compliance

·         Previous experience working within a large matrix organization


Additional Skills & Requirements:

·         Strong delivery focus and proven ability to exercise a high degree of individual initiative and judgment

·         Ability to work effectively under pressure, whilst managing changing priorities & deadlines with multiple stakeholders

·         Detail oriented, organized, flexible and able to work across multiple work fronts is essential

·         Proven experience managing numerous Human Resources processes

·         Intermediate skill in MS office suite producing business-level reports, presentations and recommendations
