Position Description:

Reports directly to the Manager of Quality (MoQ) for India

 

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Participates in development, coordination, communication and concurs with Quality policies, standards, core programs and procedures for use across the projects and business units.
  • Aligns quality culture and programs with business strategy to improve project performance.
  • Builds and drives competency/training program to drive the quality culture and processes across the Project, GBU, or Enterprise.
  • Implements guidance requirements for project Quality planning.
  • Manages the Quality Management System certification and represents the business unit during audits conducted by client, management, or regulatory agencies.
  • Manages the auditing and assessments to verify the effectiveness of the quality system/program/plan.
  • Provides oversight/review/evaluation of Projects at Project request and manages the schedule for quality oversight reviews.
  • Participates in proposal requirements and budget development to ensure that the quality deliverables and staffing are in accordance with the scope.
  • Provides oversight and input to the quality elements of project execution plans and project quality plans.
  • Participates in client interactions to achieve alignment.
  • Develops schedule, budgets and staffing planning for business unit quality activities.
  • Manages and coordinates talent acquisition/strategic hires and assignment with Corporate, GBUs and projects (with D&I considerations).
  • Provides input to or develops the quality function talent growth strategy including training in coordination with the business unit and projects.
  • Coordinates, schedules, and communicates Management Review requirements with functions to ensure management review goals and objectives are met.
  • Leads and direct discussions in management reviews.
  • Presents quality strategy and program elements to senior management and clients.

 

Scope:

  • Establishes operational objectives and work plans, and delegates where possible.
  • Senior manager reviews objectives to determine success of operation.
  • Involved in developing, modifying and executing company policies that affect immediate operations and may also have company-wide effect.

 

Job Complexity:

  • Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
  • Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
  • Recognizes that erroneous decisions will result in critical delay(s) in schedule and/or unit operations and may jeopardize overall business activities.

 

Interaction:

  • Regularly interacts and partners with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers.
  • Requires the ability to change the thinking of—or gain acceptance from—others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship.

  

Scope of Leadership:

  • Manages the work efforts of managers, supervisors, or individual contributors.
  • Responsible for staffing decisions, performance appraisals, and pay reviews.
  • Makes decisions based on business objectives and allocated resources.
  • May be responsible for a major functional area and not have any subordinate employees.

 

 Education /Experience:

  • Typically requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and a minimum of 12+ years of relevant experience or 16+ years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
