Project Controls Manager (Gurugram)

SUMMARY:

Responsible for overall Cost Engineering, Planning and Scheduling, for upcoming LNG Projects being executed from the India office. Provides technical and administrative guidance to the Project Controls personnel in the office. Participates in discipline specific policy development.

 

JOB DIMENSIONS:

A. Supervision Received

  • Reports to and receives technical and operational guidance from the Manager of Project Controls, India Office
  • Receives operational direction from the Project Manager and Home Office Project Control Manager

B. Supervision Exercised

  • Provides technical and functional supervision to Project Controls personnel 

C. Contacts

  • Maintains continuing contacts with global business unit functional, project, and operations management.
  • Maintains frequent contacts with other functional managers and service managers.
  • Maintains general professional relationships with client and industry personnel.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  1. Responsible for discipline operating plans and discipline performance within the office.
  2. Provides input to proposals, strategic plans, client presentations, and contract negotiations.
  3. Participates in developing discipline specific office policy.
  4. Participates in evaluating discipline specific office workload and staffing plans, supports hiring as required.
  5. Reviews project work plans.
  6. Responsible for the quality and timeliness of budgets, financial reports, and schedules.
  7. Makes presentations to management and clients.
  8. Responsible for the departmental personnel administration and development.
  9. Responsible for the implementation of department training programs.
  10. Performs audits to ensure the quality of cost engineering, and planning/scheduling functions.
  11. Responsible for the effective implementation of department procedures used for monitoring and controlling cost and schedule.

 

JOB KNOWLEDGE

 

Minimum 20 years of work experience with thorough knowledge of and demonstrated experience in all aspects of cost engineering, planning and scheduling, and management information activities preferably in oil and gas projects.

Skilled in developing and implementing cost and schedule control systems, techniques, and procedures.

Knowledge of Project Controls BSAP’s and interfaces with other functional tools and systems 

Knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes, as performed by Bechtel.

Skilled in oral and written communication, with demonstrated skill in presenting cost engineering and planning and scheduling information to management and clients.

Skilled in developing Project Controls training programs, including developing curricula, selecting instructors, teaching, and monitoring effectiveness of programs.

Demonstrated skill in management, supervisory, and personnel administration functions.
