Job Summary:

We are seeking an Oracle Apps Database Senior with strong experience of 12-15 years in Oracle Architect and Administrator positions responsible for planning, implementing, and managing Oracle Databases, Exadata Machines, Oracle EBS, ECC, Apex, and Oracle Fusion Middleware applications, including Oracle WebLogic Server, Oracle SOA Suite, Cloud OCI/Azure, and Automation.

The role demands advanced Architect-level skills in Oracle Database/EBS/Fusion Middleware, performance tuning, automation with expert scripting, and cloud expertise. The candidate should be able to work independently, take ownership of projects, and provide guidance to junior DBAs.

 

Major Responsibilities:

Oracle Database and Exadata Management:

  • Architect, implement, and manage Oracle Databases and Exadata environments.
  • Ensure optimal performance, availability, and scalability of Oracle databases across various environments.
  • Perform regular maintenance, upgrades, and patching activities for Oracle Databases and Exadata Machines.

 

Oracle EBS and Middleware Administration:

  • Oversee the architecture, implementation, and management of Oracle EBS, ECC, Apex, and Fusion Middleware components.
  • Administer and optimize Oracle WebLogic Server, Oracle SOA Suite, and related middleware technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Oracle EBS and middleware components.

 

Performance Tuning:

  • Conduct advanced performance tuning at both database and application levels, especially in high-stakes production environments.
  • Optimize JVM performance, manage memory efficiently, and troubleshoot issues related to Java applications in production environments.

 

Automation and Scripting:

  • Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline database and middleware administration tasks.
  • Implement scripted monitors and alerts to ensure proactive system management.
  • Utilize scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python, Perl) to automate routine operations and enhance system efficiency.

 

Cloud Expertise:

  • Manage and optimize Oracle Database and Oracle EBS environments in cloud environments such as Oracle Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
  • Leverage cloud-native tools and services to enhance database performance, scalability, and reliability.

 

Mentorship:

  • Take ownership of projects and work independently to deliver solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior database administrators.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust database and middleware solutions.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 12-15 years of experience in Oracle Database administration, Exadata, EBS, and Fusion Middleware architecture.
  • Proven expertise in Oracle Database and EBS performance tuning and optimization.
  • Strong experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware components, including WebLogic Server and SOA Suite.
  • Advanced scripting skills (e.g., Shell, Python, Perl) and experience with automation tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud environments, particularly Oracle Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and guide junior DBAs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in high-pressure production environments.
  • Flexible to work in 24 * 7 Support.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oracle Certified Master (OCM) or Oracle Certified Expert (OCE) in Database or Middleware.
  • Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and other high-availability technologies.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience in Agile, SOA, OTM/GTM, Unifier, GRC and Hyperion.
  • Proficient with the Linux operating system, specifically Oracle Linux Enterprise.
  • Exposure to CI/CD includes Git, Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins etc.
  • Experience in DMZ, SSO/SSL support and maintenance.
  • Ability to coordinate with various teams to automate deployment and publish enterprise level Instance/cloning strategies, to make best use of resources thereby reducing system downtime.
  • Experience in managing various large scale Oracle Middleware/ERP implementations following SDLC/Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to review current infrastructure architecture and provide guidelines/roadmaps and prepare target infrastructure architecture to meet growing needs/requirements.
  • Experience working in 24/7/365 delivery & multi-client support model.
  • Manage clients' expectations and communicates proactively.
  • Displays excellent collaborative skills to facilitate cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work with team members located in multiple geographies and time zones.
