POSITION SUMMARY: 

Bechtel is currently seeking an energetic individual to join the IS&T`s infrastructure Engineering team as Technical User Product Manager. infrastructure Engineering team is part of the Information Management division of Bechtel’s Information Systems & Technology function and is responsible for maintaining Bechtel’s suite of collaborative tools and services with a primary focus on the Microsoft Office 365 suite of collaboration tools. Tools include but are not limited to, OneDrive, Yammer, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Power BI.    

 

The manager will utilize Project Management and ITIL operations methodologies to work closely with Bechtel's internal Global Business Units, Projects and various IT groups to ensure the efficient use of the collaborative tools. These critical internal applications must deliver high availability, performance and reliability across a broad range of locations and business environments. The manager is responsible for identifying and working alongside key stakeholders within the Global Business Units to help drive adoption, analyzing business challenges, working alongside peers and seeking concrete opportunities to deliver fully productized solutions to meet and exceed expectations.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Work directly with the Microsoft User Product Manager (UPM) in maintaining all technical aspects of the Microsoft 365 portfolio
  • Provide subject matter expertise for the applications, engineering technical solutions based on business requirements
  • Work in the capacity of Technical Project Management, create long and short-term plans, delegating tasks and tracking progress
  • Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
  • Communicating with application owners and business owners to keep the project aligned with their goals
  • Performing quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
  • Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change
  • Provide subject matter expertise for the applications in the portfolio. 
  • Interface with core stakeholders to implement Microsoft 365 integrations to core business tools and services
  • Produce and maintain Issue and Enhancement request registers
  • Produce, manage, and report out monthly metric dashboards to stakeholders
  • Liaise with Contracts to maintain agile licensing management
  • Coordinate input and feedback from stakeholders in regards to application roadmaps and strategic direction
  • Coordinate and hold regular communication meetings to ensure ownership of tasks and schedules across all stakeholders
  • Apply lessons learned and best practices to continually update and improve the service delivery process

 

REQUIRED JOB KNOWLEDGE:

·       Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft 365 Products licensing

·       Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft 365 products and emerging features

·       Consultative skills in analyzing business requirements and developing solutions using Microsoft 365 products and services

·       Knowledge of SaaS and Cloud Computing methodologies

·       Excellent oral and written communication skills

·       Excellent M365 Apps skills

·       Understanding of internal communications in a corporate environment

·       A dedication to customer service with a commitment to quality

·       Strong interpersonal skills and a confident, articulate presenter

·       Experience managing client relationships

·       Time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fluid environment

·       Strong investigative and analytical skills to identify problems and develop solutions

·       Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a busy, dynamic work environment

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related degree
  • Five plus years of related experience in IT system deployment and support with at least two years in the collaboration space
