Job Summary:

The said position is for Construction Automation group under ASG (Application Support Group). The team provides all automation related support for Construction applications. You will establish and administer the portfolio of construction automation applications and data requirements for projects.

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive assistance to project teams, which encompasses application setup, training, application usage, software quality assurance, reporting, database management, and the completion of all construction automation software and applications.
  • Coordinate, plan, and conduct essential meetings, workshops, and presentations to enhance communication and training among team members. Develop user guides and training materials, and deliver training sessions to ensure users are proficient in using automation tools.
  • Support the execution of the project automation plan by assessing and coordinating the implementation of new automation modules and tools.
  • Conduct testing and offer support for data integration associated with new releases of production software/programs to ensure smooth operation.
  • Tailor applications according to customer specifications to improve functionality and user experience.
  • Apply knowledge of database management and programming skills to assist with construction planning, work packaging, progress reporting, material management, turnover/completions, workforce management, and timekeeping.
  • Collaborate with the project IT lead/manager to ensure construction requirements are integrated into the project automation plan.
  • Provide troubleshooting and application support through IT service management (ITSM) channels as required.
  • Create innovative solutions to address challenges encountered during project execution to effectively meet client needs.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree in Engineering (or international equivalent) minimum 10 years of relevant work experience.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • General understanding of the information lifecycle of project data – how information is exchanged between functions/disciplines and ownership of data transitions throughout the life of a project.
  • Hands on experience of creating queries in Oracle/SQL Server and PowerShell.
  • Understanding of Data exchanges and integration. Ability to troubleshoot dataflow issues within applications.
  • EPC work experience. Familiarity with Data analytics and reporting.
  • Experience of creating and Working knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SSIS.
  • Hands on experience application developing in MS Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power Query and VBA Macro.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, naturally curious and strong desire to solve problems.
  • Knowledge of standard office productivity tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
  • Hands on experience with any data exchange tools.
  • Hands on experience application developing in power apps, VBA Macro, Python, and html.
  • Implement data governance at each step while carrying out data exchange work.
  • Working knowledge of Scoping, Installation work Packages for CSA and Piping disciplines.
  •  Advance skills in MS Excel.
