Project Overview:
The Business Management group under the Project Controls function is majorly concentrated out of India office in Gurgaon providing support to Corporate IS&T, GBU IS&T, EPC Functions and Corporate Services globally. The team is responsible for helping with quarterly budgeting process, Operating Center (OC) financial management, design & implement OC charging practice (including internal billings) and ensure adherence to charging practice policies and guidelines. The team also prepares monthly financial reports & variance analysis, dashboards (financial & operational) and scenario-based data analysis to aid senior management in decision making.
Job Summary:
The Analyst – IT Business Management will be a member of Bechtel’s Corporate Project Controls team based out of Gurgaon office in India. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing Operating Center billings, validation of various billing input sources, ensure correctness of billing outputs. Additionally, manage vendor invoices ensuring correctness and timely routing for approvals & payments, validate accuracy of cost heads and other data driven research and analysis. Help monitor financial movements of OC Cost, analyze cost & manhours data related to operating center. Assist with the continuous process improvements and automation of various work processes. Assist in providing senior management and executives with the analysis and information they need to make major operational, financial, and strategic decisions.
"This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership”
Major Responsibilities:
- Execute monthly IS&T billing.
- Record, route for approvals, and track invoices in coordination with Accounts Payables.
- Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts.
- Ensure accuracy of financial transactions and accounting cost heads.
- Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data.
- Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, and identify trends.
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Collaborate with various teams & customers to ensure continuous process & systems improvement.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires a minimum of 4-6 years of related experience.
- Associate degree or related technical training preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of financial report systems and controller account codes, and understanding of controller instructions.
- Good to have knowledge of PowerBI, Hyperion and financial software applications.
- Capability and flexibility to handle multiple tasks in restricted timeframes.
- Experience in billings, invoice management and scenario-based reports for data analysis.
- Ability to work well in a team within a fast-paced environment.
- Must be available to work in a flexible schedule to help multiple time-zones.
- Understanding of cost tools and databases.
- Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Word, MS Access.
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical and data gathering skills.
- High attention to detail.
