Project Overview:
Bechtel is pursuing a significant new award of work in Egypt. The Project will cover the development of luxurious residential, commercial, and recreational spaces, tourism amenities, and economic zones. If successful, Bechtel’s contract for the delivery of this project will be for project management and construction management services. This position is contingent upon project award, client approval and staffing plan changes.
Job Summary:
As a Supervisor of HR Operations at Bechtel, you will serve as a team leader in the administration, communication, delivery, evaluation, and issue resolution of key HR activities such as staffing, onboarding, compensation planning, performance management and employee relations. Your leadership will ensure compliance, consistency, and effectiveness of HR activities.
Major Responsibilities:
- Plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates key operational areas for internal and external clients in accordance to project and/or organization requirements, business policies, practices, and objectives to ensure compliance, consistency, and effectiveness of HR activities
- Supports HR Business Partners (HRBP), People Operations and senior HR functional delivery managers to address and resolve complex and escalated issues
- Supports project and/or organization management to facilitate the delivery of HR services, providing expertise and guidance on HR policies and best practices
- Assists in preparation of change management and communication plans, as needed, for rollout of significant HR operational policy, procedure, or process changes
- May serve as team leader/HR Manager in the administration of HR activities such as staffing, onboarding, compensation planning, performance management, and employee relations.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Grade 26: Typically requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
Grade 27: Typically requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.
Significant experience in project HR leadership position or project oversight roles, preferably with Bechtel.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to work independently on complex issues with little oversight
- Understanding of project and change management in a large organization
- Fluency in English is required with fluency in Arabic preferred for this position
