Job Summary:
Responsible for the daily activities associated with timely and accurate Maintaining of Trust books of accounts, processing settlement and transfer claims, resolving the employee/member queries using the enterprise tools and system and Trust procedures. Candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate input and maintenance of employee data in Trust Books of Accounts and accounting and administration of the three Trusts of Bechtel India.
The position requires using tools and systems such as SAP for employee data , Forms+, Service Now, File-net for audit trails and documentation. An important part of the responsibility is mailbox handling and supporting employee queries for overall control. The position will require assisting other less experienced team members in performance of tasks and duties of the group. Candidate must have sound knowledge of India tax EPF rules and apply sound financial analysis concepts beyond the simple adherence to detailed procedures and instructions, recommending solutions to unusual problems. Assignments call for strong judgment and resourcefulness,
along with timely responsiveness to resolve problems where solutions are not obvious. Assist with functional testing and providing feedback and support for system design changes and enhancements.
Major Responsibilities:
- Guiding the new employees and leaving employee in filling up of the EPFO forms, i.e. Form-11, nomination forms and various settlement /transfer forms with respect to EPF / Gratuity and superannuation Trusts.
- Prepare Bank reconciliation of the Trusts on weekly basis.Passing of accounting entries in the books of accounts daily, the entries are mainly towards receipts of interest and maturity proceeds of the PF Trust. Checking of monthly EPF/EPS and superannuation data before posting of payroll.
- Preparation of ECR data for challan upload on EPO portal and uploading the EPF / EPS and Superannuation data in the trust administration software on monthly basis.
- Preparation of documentation / memos and co-ordination with accounts payables for collection of contributions, and further payment thereof to LIC / EPFO / Trusts. Supporting employees / members with their settlements and transfer-in / transfer-out requests and claims.
- Preparation of settlements / transfer-out documents for the trust books for EPF / Superannuation and Gratuity, including follow-up with LIC /
- EPFO portal work, and updates to the employees.Processing of claims settlement accounting entries in Trust books of accounts.
- Preparation of TDS challan and payment of TDS on monthly basis
- Preparing the data for filing the quarterly TDS returns. Preparation of various ad-hoc statements and reports for the trustees on the membership data and investment status.
- Preparing and updating monthly status report of the Trust activities.
- Arranging and coordinating PF investment quotes from the secondary market and ensuring the investment decisions of the trustees are documented including Processing paperwork of the investments with third parties and banks.
- Supporting and coordinating the preparation of annual financial statements of the trusts and responding to auditor queries during the statutory audits. Monthly EPFO compliance.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution with a major in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
- Minimum 4 to 6 years of applicable payroll work experience, preferably of Indian Payroll and related compliances.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- CPA and/or payroll specialist or other similar certifications.
- Experience of handling Trust related work.
- Able to efficiently organize work activities to meet daily and weekly timelines
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Self-starter able to use sound business judgment in carrying out assigned tasks
- Higher level of experience with same skillset
