Project Overview:

The Cheniere Corpus Christi Liquefaction (CCL) Project is a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) export facility located on the north shore of Corpus Christi Bay in Gregory, Texas. The 1,000+ acre facility started bulk early works in July 2015 as the first greenfield export facility in the United States. Bechtel has successfully and safely completed construction and it now consists of three operating Trains utilizing the ConocoPhillips Optimized Cascade™ process with an LNG production capacity of approximately 15 million tons per year (MTPA), three LNG storage tanks with combined capacity of 480,000 cubic meters of LNG, 2 Jetty superstructures that can accommodate the world’s largest vessels, and dozens of associated buildings and utilities.

 

Corpus Christi Liquefaction Project Stage 3 (CCL3) is a new phase at the existing CCL facility and will consist of seven midscale liquefaction trains with an LNG production capacity of approximately 10 MTPA utilizing Chart IPSMR™ liquefaction technology, and associated infrastructure including utilities. CCL3 will perform all this work predominantly on a direct hire basis with support from only a few specialty and service subcontractors.

 

Position Summary:

The ES&H Field Coordinator provides the administrative support to meet project, corporate, and legislative requirements in addition to helping the project to be successful in controlling the risk of harm to people, property, and the environment. They will perform a variety of specialized tasks as directed by the ES&H Manager to support the ES&H Department through research, complex analysis, and coordination. Special assignments may be required that involve semi-technical subjects and the use of office automation tools.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Attend pre-start and toolbox meetings
  • Prepares and submits reports required by project, corporate and legislative authorities
  • Prepares reports required for the analysis and determination of both leading and lagging trends
  • Prepares confidential and sensitive reports that may include injury data.
  • Maintains confidentiality of records as needed
  • Acts as the project administrator of corporate HSE software programs
  • Trains ES&H team members in the use of corporate HSE software programs
  • Identifies improvements to reporting processes
  • Openly communicates with the Project ES&H Manager on administrative matters
  • Maintains a working relationship with ES&H and other administrative team members
  • Participates in ES&H meetings to identify and action administrative requirements
  • Helps coordinate furniture and space allocation, space planning, and other needs
  • Assists with the coordination and the development of ES&H work planning and training materials.
  • Coordinates meetings, arranging for facilities, equipment, and refreshments. May prepare and distribute notices, agendas, information packets, and minutes.
  • Coordinates newly assigned employees to attend required onboarding, training, etc.
  • Reviews data for completeness of information
  • Archiving safety documents into the document management system in preparation for site demobilization.
  • Maintain site ES&H records, including Incident Register, JHA Register, Risk Register, Corrective Action Register, Workplace Inspections, Induction Records, Procedures, Plans and Instructions
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint and One Drive tools
  • A strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
  • Assists in special events, such as safety awards/incentive activities etc.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the ES&H Manager
  • Researches, gathers, and develops data to submit reports on Bechtel’s ES&H statistical performance.
  • Maintains the ES&H statistical data for a given area of responsibility which includes entering, sorting, and manipulating data in a web-based data records management system.
  • Ensures confidentiality of data prepared and reported as necessary.
  • Monitors, reviews, and evaluates governmental regulatory and resource agency data reporting and their impact on Bechtel statistical reports.
  • Manages user authorization/access to the Corporate ES&H safety data systems (IRIS, Chekhov, Velocity, etc.).
  • Recommends improvements to streamline the reporting process and/or web-based data records management system.
  • Writes and posts Daily Information Sheets

 

 Job Knowledge:

  • Knowledge and understanding in the field of data collecting, analysis, and statistics.
  • Proficiency and experience in researching published industry statistics for comparison and benchmarking purposes.
  • Attention to detail and thorough proofreading skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory recordkeeping requirements (e.g., definition of a recordable, restricted or lost-time case as used by regulatory agencies.
  • Knowledge and understanding of data management systems and computer hardware/software, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Good skills in oral and written communications.
  • Prior work experience leading to the thorough understanding of the knowledge described above or degree in an applicable discipline from an accredited college or university.
