Job Summary:

As a key member of the Global Retirement Plans Group, the Senior Retirement Plans Administrator is crucial in managing recordkeeper relationships for U.S. retirement plans, ensuring fiduciary compliance, and overseeing accurate plan administration. This role also involves executing various project-related tasks and partnering with HR, Legal, Finance, and Tax teams. The Senior Retirement Plans Administrator has direct accountability to the Retirement Plans Manager. #LI-HB1 #LI-Hybrid

This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Ensure ongoing compliance for our US retirement and non-qualified plans, including day-to-day administrative processes
  • Lead the annual audit of T&T Plan, oversee non-discrimination testing for controlled groups, and oversee data security reviews
  • Responsible for vendor relationships, ensuring adherence to service level agreements and standards
  • Manage and resolve participant escalation issues, ensuring compliance with plan provisions and documents    
  • Project manage and implement plan changes, including communication of plan modifications
  • Oversee regulatory communications and disclosures, including required plan filings
  • Monitor and audit participant websites and internal Bechtel resources for accuracy and completeness
  • Supporting and coordinating strategic communications planning and other related communications
  • Support T&T Plan special projects and other team projects as needed

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Basic Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years in Defined Contribution plan administration/record keeping with a plan sponsor, record keeper or industry-related firm
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external partners
  • Detail oriented and strong data analytics skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Work, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge of HRIS systems; SAP a plus
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, work independently and a team-oriented environment
  • Initiative taking, flexible and adaptive to changing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • QKA, RPA or CEBS designations a plus
