Position Summary

This position will have strong Oracle Hyperion experience and will support and maintain Hyperion aplications including  design, execute and support software application designs throughout project life cycles within Oracle Hyperion tool set and architecture. In addition, this individual will provide Production and perform root cause analysis to avoid recurrence. The position will work with IT Leads, Business users and other IT team members to understand and evaluate functional requirements, and develop technical solutions, designs, coding, testing and support Hyperion implementation and upgrades. Developers coming into this position will work on projects, enhancements, and production support on cutting edge technology created specifically for Bechtel.

 

Responsibilities

  • Development and deployment of integrated solutions to enhance, consolidate, and coordinate independently designed applications enterprise-wide; assist in scheduling and coordinating project deliverables
  • Encourage and follows the team development and work process procedures and standards
  • Program design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation under general supervision
  • Perform configurations of Hyperion planning and supported applications as needed for development and support activities; plan, organize and manage time across multiple priorities working independently
  • Maintains interfaces and reports from E-Business suite, Power BI and other third party systems for import/export into the Oracle Hyperion
  • Assist in component and data architecture design, software, production evaluation, and buy/build recommendations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, performing root cause analysis, deliver onto ad-hoc requests, documenting and providing the best solution to the problem
  • Provide support in configuration, coding, developing, and documenting software specifications throughout the project life cycle
  • Coordinate and prepares Functional, Technical Design documents and Unit test documents for the related areas
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications and Skills

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Software Development, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Eight or more years of experience developing applications, interfaces and reports using Hyperion planning, Essbase, DRM, Hyperion Financial Reporting under Oracle Hyperion environment (preferably Release 11.2.8)
  • Experience in Hyperion budgeting, forecasting and planning processes.
  • Worked with Hyperion Planning in developing web-based forms for the various budgeting and forecasting purpose.
  • 2+ Years’ experience in ODI development to extract and load data and metadata for Essbase and planning from various Oracle data sources.
  • 3+ Years of work experience in Esbase
  • 8+ years of Information Technology experience in any IT role

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge and/or experience in Oracle EPM cloud
  • Experience in Oracle SQL/PLSQL
  • Experience in change management process, Quality Center and JIRA
  • Knowledge in using Oracle eBusiness applications
