Job Summary:

In this role, you will support the management of Government Services to lead, coordinate, and respond to government audit requests and reports. You will research and analyze forecast and financial data, coordinate and develop financial reviews, prepare performance metrics and trend reports, and analyze allocation methods. Your work will help ensure quality, accurate, and timely responses and reports. #LI-AM3 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Leads effort in developing, reviewing, and maintaining overhead job and sub‑job descriptions in database and Oracle, to support cost methodology/homogenous pool assignments and work in tandem with team to demonstrate processes to auditors.
  • Researches and prepares responses for audit requests and may communicate directly with auditors to address inquiries.
  • Analyzes financial data to determine allowability and out-of-period costs based on government regulations.
  • Supports screening database administration and performs screening of sensitive overhead cost jobs and accounts – able to determine allowability and allocability based upon the Federal Acquisitions Regulation (FAR Part 31)
  • Prepares and analyzes forecast and financial data for development of forward pricing rates, final incurred cost claims, cost monitoring, and cost studies.
  • Reviews and analyzes data to assess allowability and allocability under government regulations.
  • May provide technical support to team including database execution and liaison interfaces for outside innovative support.
  • Supports team leads and management by using analytical methods to assess issues and offer practical solutions.
  • Performs and collaborates analytical studies.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10  years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Required:-

  • Analytical and reconciliation techniques
  • Currently utilizes Microsoft Outlook Excel, (including Pivot tables to summarize large data sets), Word and Power Point applications
  • Willingness to learn and apply government regulations, as applicable to position
  • Flexible to handle multiple tasks and work in a team dependent environment

Preferred:-

  • Understands Bechtel’s organizational structure and policies and procedures
  • Hyperion and CFAR report preparation and execution
  • Use Business Objects (create queries and reports based on corporate financial databases)
  • Knowledge and use of Federal acquisition regulations (FAR)
  • Microsoft Power BI and Excel for analysis and reporting
