Job Summary:

As Global Mobility Specialist, you will serve as the primary point of contact for employees relocating to international and national assignments. You will assist with assignment documentation, provide policy counseling, and coordinate relocation services with different vendors. In your role, you will help Bechtel mobilize top talent worldwide. #LI-KL1

This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for employees who relocating to international or national assignments
  • Coordinates service providers for household effects shipments, pre-assignment medicals, immigration, tax services and destination services
  • Collects and conducts preliminary review of individual documents required for immigration processing
  • Prepares corporate documents required for immigration processing
  • Prepares and explains assignment and employment documents, including offer letters, recitals and assignment compensation calculations, in alignment with policies and approved assignment conditions
  • Manages the receipt of required documents, submission processes, and monitoring activities to ensure assignment mobilization clearance
  • Explains assignment expense reimbursement processing and policies
  • Interfaces with other teams as needed, including Expatriate Tax, HR Operations, Benefits, national and international payroll teams, Security, Expense Management, etc.
  • Maintains accurate information in mobility management software throughout the assignment lifecycle for tracking and reporting purposes

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and 3-5 years relevant work experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish is required

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Prior experience in Global Mobility, Immigration, or as a HR Generalist
  • Basic knowledge of international relocation processes and expatriate compensation components
  • Proven ability to manage a high-volume workload while maintaining strong attention to detail and data integrity
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship
