Job Summary:
The Treasury group supports Bechtel’s business by managing the company’s liquidity, banking relationship, bank account architecture, foreign exchange hedging programs, and cash movements around the world.
The Documentation Specialist will be responsible for coordinating the completion of documentation and know-your-customer (KYC) requests for Bechtel’s financial counterparties. The specialist will work to gather requirements, complete documents, and submit packages to financial institutions. This person must possess organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Adherence to corporate governance is paramount.
This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.
Major Responsibilities:
Potential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Tracking, compiling and completing inbound KYC requests from banks and other institutions.
- Maintaining bank accounts worldwide, including opening and closing bank accounts, updating signatories, and completing other documentation.
- Collecting and preparing corporate documentation in coordination with the Legal department.
- Arranging for the signing of documents in multiple offices and countries and arranging for notarization and apostille.
- Administering online bank portal access for multiple financial institutions.
- Inputting wire transfers for approval.
- Conducting due diligence on third parties.
- Perform other duties and assist with projects as assigned by management from time to time.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Level I: Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 1-2 years of experience, or in lieu of degree, 5-6 years of relevant work experience.
- Level II: Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 2-5 years of experience, or in lieu of degree, 6-9 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Meticulous organization skills and ability to prioritize across multiple workflows and changing priorities.
- Great attention to detail and the ability to independently review documentation for completeness and consistency.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work across international time zones and possess cross-cultural communication skills.
- Familiarity with the legal formation and similar legal documents.
- Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook and Word. Knowledge of PowerPoint and Visio is a plus.
