Job Summary:

The Deputy Global Mobility Manager is responsible for supporting the operational management of the organization’s global mobility program. The role oversees the delivery of comprehensive mobility services, ensures compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and contributes to the continuous enhancement of processes and employee experience throughout the global mobility lifecycle.

This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership”. #LI-AM3

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provides day-to-day operational guidance, planning and direction and is accountable for Mobility and Immigration Services teams located globally
  • Ensures global mobility approach is supportive of and in alignment with the customers’ goals and objectives
  • Advises business development in workforce planning and budgeting of mobilizing talent
  • Supports other initiatives within the business leading to process improvement and efficiencies
  • Leads the performance measurement process to measure overall services delivered, in addition to employee specific service delivery
  • Assists in the review of internal control processes to identify deficiencies and risk management opportunities
  • Works collaboratively with other internal functions to seek opportunities to improve service offerings to our customers
  • Gathers and communicates any policy or assignment conditions concerns/questions for consideration
  • Oversees the development of metrics and standardized reporting to our customers and business
  • Manages a team of Global Mobility and Global Mobility Operations Supervisors
  • Reviews and establishes processes for new jurisdictions, in collaboration with external providers and internal teams, including regional HR, Legal, Expat Tax, payroll, etc.
  • Manages vendor relationships & performance, and day to day operational issues with third-party vendors
  • Participates in evaluation and measurement of third-party vendor service and identifies opportunities for service enhancements or additions
  • Oversees the work allocation forecast and implementation

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or international equivalent, in Human Resources, International Business, or a related field, and 10–13 years of relevant professional experience, or 14–17 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
  • 7+ years of experience in global mobility, international HR, or expatriate management, with a strong understanding of mobility policies, compliance, and operational processes
  • 5+  years of national and international direct experience leading or contributing to global mobility initiatives within a Project HR Team, including responsibilities such as policy administration, employee support, operational process management or program execution
  • Proven experience with mobility platforms and HRIS systems (e.g., SuccessFactors, SmartStaff), including reporting, data accuracy, and workflow management

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in leading or supervising team members or serving as a project lead within a global mobility or international HR function
  • Demonstrated success in managing multicultural and geographically dispersed teams
  • Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and collaborate effectively with external partners, such as immigration providers, relocation vendors, and tax advisors
  • Solid understanding of global mobility compliance frameworks, including tax, immigration, and social security considerations
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex mobility concepts to diverse audiences
