Bechtel is seeking a Digital Supply Chain System (DSCS) Technical Manager.  This position will be responsible for the management of the Bechtel DSCS Technical teams.  The successful candidate will be accountable for all technical aspects including detailed technical design, development, configuration, migration, and production management.

 

Additional duties and responsibilities of this position:

  1. Strong leadership and collaboration skills to work with multiple teams, on various technologies.
  2. Build strategic plans for the ongoing development and evolution of the DSCS suite of tools.
  3. Oversees Life cycle management of DSC systems and coordinates with DBAs and functions to apply upgrades, security patches and establish the technology road map.
  4. Ensure DSC development alignment with BBS Financials on a shared Oracle EBS instance.
  5. Coordinate with Corporate IS&T counterparts for infrastructure and middleware technology layer DSC requirements.
  6. Provide guidance and train team members on information systems in areas including Agile development methodology, production support, quality assurance/control, testing and administration.
  7. Must have proven ability to coordinate the activities of a globally distributed team.
  8. Analyze plans and structure teams to successfully execute.
  9. Manages resource planning and schedules for DSC technical teams and responsible for providing input and adhering to DSC budget.
  10. Expertise on the complete DSCS suite, including what has been deployed, what is under development, and what is planned for future activity.
  11. Assists and coordinates vendor relationships and contracts.
  12. Establish and enforce adherence to Agile development processes, design standards, procedures and policies.
  13. Strong communication and organizational skills to be able to delegate work and communicate status.
  14. Anticipate issues and challenges.
  15. Strong decision making and judgement skills.
  16. Ability prioritize work based on business needs of Bechtel projects.
  17. Ability to estimate work and plan appropriately.
  18. Understanding of key technical fundamentals such as performance management, testing, environment management and proactive planning.
  19. Ownership and accountability of issue management and resolution.
  20. Strong documentation and knowledge transfer skills to provide open communication.
  21. Ability to understand functional work processes across the enterprise, including Supply Chain, Engineering, Project Controls, Finance.

 

Job Knowledge:

  • Advanced knowledge of Bechtel’s global business units and functions including engineering, procurement, construction and other business applications.
  • Advanced knowledge of Bechtel information/data security standards, policy, and procedures.
  • Advanced knowledge of corporate, industry and professional standards.
  • Skill in presenting well-organized and convincing information that is clear and efficient and can be understood by all audiences.
  • Thorough working knowledge of company process improvement and leadership initiatives.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills including selecting, retaining and developing team leads and obtaining high-quality work from staff.
  • Ability to manage geographically dispersed project teams.
  • Demonstrated flexibility to respond to challenging situations and respond to changing development and production priorities.​​​​​​

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a similar degree, plus 15+ years of IS&T experience.
  • 5+ years experience leading an IS&T technical development team.
  • US citizenship is required.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Good understanding of technology related to OTM, EBS, SOA, EDQ, Unifier.
  • Understanding of tools related to technology and process management such as JIRA, Microsoft TEAMS, SharePoint, Planner.
